So I was talking with a friend of mine and we spent a while coming up with the ultimate cast for the ultimate movie.

The list ended up being too damn big so we had to cut loads but what we ended up with was this:

We had particular difficulty in deciding on female actresses as we didn't want to judge on hotness.

The real question is; What is your ultimate cast?

 

It entirely depends on what kind of movie it is. For example in an action movie case Expendables 1/2 cover my dream cast pretty well.

I can also tell you my preferable casting in specific titles. Like recently in Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows after hearing rumors I really wanted to see Brad Pitt or Daniel Day Lewis as Moriarty playing against Downey, Jr.

And my ultimate Alfred for a Batman movie is David Niven.

Less specific - I'd love to see Jack Nicholson, Al Pacino and Robert De Niro in their prime to be in one film and share scenes (unlike The Godfather in a case of the last two of them).

 

Under narrators I'd want the guy who narrated the Bastion to be on there, he has one of the greatest voices ever produced by human kind.

 

Zooey Deschanel and Neil Patrick Harris don't really fit with the others or even ok the same realm when it comes to acting chops. And no Meryl Streep? For shame.

 

I'd throw Ed Norton into that list too, as well as mention Nathan Fillion and Leonardo DiCaprio. Also, Jeff Bridges. I'd keep going with faves, but that would just lead to a rather lengthy list.
