JDatE is quite awesome, and no; there are far, far weirder things that go on in that book. It's a horror/comedy written by a Cracked.com editor, David Wong. Expect a similar brand of humour to the site, but the book also has its moments where it genuinely captures the horror element - better than any other horror book I've ever read. And infinitely more fun to read.

It's already being made into a film, despite being written and published not long ago. It's not particularly emotional but the horror aspects are awesomesauce and it has a few moments of heartwarming by the end to complement that. I would certainly recommend reading it. And treasuring it forever. I actually read it for free long ago but ordered the hardback version from America when it first came out as published in print. That's just how good it is.

@Aekiel. I'm a huge fanboi of it. Seriously. I really can't give you an uncritical unbiased opinion, but it has some awesome moments like that littered through out. The best part, you don't have to buy, I paid 20 for special order through B&N for mine because I liked it so much.

They have it all posted online, plus the sequel, though I haven't gotten around to reading that one. So I say read it.

EDIT: Missed the last page and Palin(...Sarah Palin? Is that intentional?)drome's response. So basically everything she said.

I sincerely doubt it. A palindrome is something that can be read the same forwards and backwards.

Fiat, it was a joke. You know, a gentle means of poking fun at her name?
