Have they said the non-crazy black prisoner's name yet? I don't think they have and if not I'm betting he's Tyreese. If so they definitely changed both his personality and backstory a ton from the comic.

I was more emotional over T's death than Lori's. I guess I never forgave her for her earlier actions.

Judging from the previews, I'm guessing next episodes title is, "Rick rage-quits"

    Tonite...

    Rick seems pretty crazy.

And boxing fights in the middle of five chained Walkers for everyone to see? That's pretty fucking stupid. Although I secretly hope someone gets bit.

Yeah... we laughed pretty hard when the episode lapsed into the evening, and rick was still in there killing walkers.

Glad to see someone taking the walkers down finally...

They are building the Governor up to be like a Roman emperor. Keep them entertained with games and they don't care about the root.

But Andrea was right. Gladiator games with Walkers makes the populace not take the threat seriously, which is fucked up as Walkers destroyed civilization less than 2 years ago. Also taking kids to see the games is just a problem. These kids are going to grow up in this world. How are they going to come out if this kind of thing is acceptable?

Methinks Andrea is starting to get the vibes Michonne was feeling about things.

I'm kind of in agreement with the Governor on that one. Exposure to the walkers should lower the fear level a tad. Fear can be crippling. The exposure can only be good as long as there is still some level of danger going on. The reason why it was entertaining was because they knew how dangerous that fight was. They know walkers are dangerous.

Ricks group has had prolonged exposure to walkers. They seem far more capable of holding their own than when they started.

I haven't read the comics, so I have no idea just how bad/good the governor is, but am I the only one that doesn't really mind any of the decisions he has made? I'd probably be perfectly comfortable living in that town.

P.S. Oh and the kids? They might actually be able to grow up if they aren't petrified at the very sight of a walker. Carl is far better off now then he was at the start of the series.

The Govenor is doing the same thing for me that Shane ended up doing. He's doing some good, the Govenor even more so, but it's the motivation behind the actions that worry me. In the end, Shane was motivated more by his jealousy than any sense of good for the group. The Govenor is doing a lot of really awesome things, proving the durability of the human race, but his motivations are still rather questionable and leaning towards the fucked up.

And as for the kids growing up with less fear of walkers, I agree but we don't want them to grow up as completely ruthless little ninjas. Carl is awesome right now, don't get me wrong, but I don't want all the kids walking around with silenced .22s and cowboy hats.

Anyone else wondering if Carol is still alive? I know they dug her grave but it never actually showed her being killed and other than Lori and Sophie they've shown everyone else's. With Lori they made it clear that Carl shot her they just focused on Maggie and with Sophie they kept it ambiguous for the later payoff in the scene that they showed her as a zombie.

I agree with most of what the governor's done. What I disagree with was killing the soldiers instead of recruiting them and what the preview for next week seemed to show.

If all those soldiers came in the governor would of lost his power, you cant let 12-15 armed, trained men who follow a chain of command into a community of 75 and not lose control.

I agree. He couldn't recruit the soldiers. He could have let them be; but I guess he was running low on ammo.

and yeah, I have a feeling Carol is alive.

But where is she? She's smart enough not to leave the prison. There are lots of places to hide in there, rooms and cells she can hold out for a few hours. Rick and the other have been through most of the areas she has access to.

    Maybe kidnapped?

There weren't that many and they were reservists, not active duty. Reserves spend very little time in a command structure and live and work as civilians for the majority of the time, at least in times of peace. They had minimal training, at least before the outbreak. He should be able to maintain control when he seems to have more people on his "research team" alone and seems to be very popular within the town.
