Michonne is annoying. Why doesn't she tell the group that Andrea is there? Why didn't she tell Andrea why they were there, they could've offed the Governor together and escaped.

 

Is Michonne even aware that this group is Andrea's group? I suppose she could have told her some of their names, but nothing that I've seen could have connected Andrea to that group for Michonne.

 

I don't know if I can wait two months for more Walking Dead! Impressions from the latest episode:

-I knew T-Dogg 2.0 wasn't gonna make it, the Token Balance must be maintained!

-The Governor continues to be one creepy manipulative fuck. Seriously.

-I'm looking forward to a Merle/Daryl vs zombie pit deathmatch.

-Andrea needs just a little kick in the cunt... honestly.

 

Michonne/Andrea's confrontation really bothered me, I get that she's usually quiet but I'd expect her to at least try to tell Andrea about being hunted after leaving Woodbury. I'm wondering how long it will be before something happens to the perverted prisoner, nothing good can come to someone who messes with Carl's crush.

Also: Tyreese, finally! I'm really hoping they do justice to him since he was my favorite comic book character and that they keep him alive for longer than I expect.

 

Ok I don't read the comics but Im assuming that either Meryl was previously told he was going to be blamed for the attack or will be given an audience with the Govenor telling him this is his chance to become the inside man once they release Daryle and him to the other group.

And I realize that evrrybody in the post zombie Apocolypse has seen and been though a lot, but seeing a 13 year old wielding a gun with athourity and whipping ass would be a big shock. Awesome though.

 

Erm. I'm pretty sure the Governor is just beyond pissed that Merle lied to him about Michonne and assumed the worst. Did you see the look he gave Merle after Michonne attacked him? He most definitely blames Merle for his eye.

 

Well yeah but it's his one chance to get someone inside that prison. He knows it will be nearly impossible to do a frontal assault, especially if they know someone is coming. It's basically a fortress. The part that isnt locked down by the Ricktatorship is overrun by walkers. It's the smart thing to do, and the Govenor seems to be at least that. Now, I'm sure he'd kill him after if he succeeds but right now it is his best shot to take down the group with out using literally all of his resources to wipe out those 10 people in a fortified camp.

Plus if you saw the previews for next episode next year (read no further if you don't want me to read into them) then you get to see an alive Daryle and Glenn shouting at someone off camera saying something like, "What is he doing here?!". Thus me coming to the conclusion that the Govenor releases, or stages the brothers escape to get someone into the prison. I still think the Govenor will be the one to kill Merylr once he's served his purpose but that's just my feeling way down the road.

 

I just assumed Rick is going back for Daryl and will help them escape. I suppose your idea is plausible, but I find it hard to believe that Rick would take Merle in at all to be the "inside man".

 

No I agree, I think it would be incredible stupid for Rick or anybody other than Daryle to trust Merle and do anything but kill him on the spot. But the people that write these shows have an end game in mind that is annoying to those with logical notions. And I don't think Rick is going to try and flip Merle, but the only reason he doesn't kill him is because he knows it would lose him Daryle's support.

 

Merle might have been able to rejoin the group...before he tortured Glenn and TRIED TO KILL HIM. Once that happened, no mercy.

The only reason that the Governor would send Merle to Rick is to get him killed. And he wouldn't do that because he doesn't know why Merle lied. Merle might actually be working with the group.

 

Sooo... Anyone else watch the new episode?

I guess Rick is really starting to go a little batshit. I doubt it'll be permanent, but he seems to be spiraling downward pretty damn fast, which makes me wonder just how much worse it'll get before he gets his shit together.

 

I miss Daryl already. Poor Carol.

And yep, Rick has gone batshit.

Yay Tyreese though. I missed him, as he was one of the original people in the comics.

 

Show's back, I'm so very very very very happy.

Walker Kill Of The Week goes to Glenn this week. DAMN, SON. Squishy squish.

Also, stoked everybody got a bit of spotlight this episode, enjoying that The Governor's nonchalant crazy-ness, loving that Maggie's for all intents and purposes channelling Comic!Andrea like a boss and is definitely the most badass female character to me, and seeing Rick losing his shit like that is only going to end badly. Cannot wait for more.

 

Glenn has to be my favourite character, much as people ride the Daryl bandwagon. Kind of nice to see him branch off as I was wondering how they'd have a second plot running alongside the main cast now that Woodbury's up shit creek.

Hope we keep up with Tyreese's group though, never read the comics much as I should but they wouldn't just bring his group in for 2 paltry appearances and then shoo them off. Guess they somehow save Rick looking at next weeks preview as he's taking a huge step off the deep end.

 

Holy shit Glenn... Hooooooooly shit. You fucked with the wrong bull, walker. Curb stomps for everybody!

Rick? Batshit? Who will he start seeing next? Ghost!Shane? Ghost!T-Dogg?

I wasn't really missing Daryl until the end of the episode when we saw L'il Asskicker's crib, then my feely feels jacked up to the max.

Also, we all know that show lore is different from the comic lore and Tyreese is just T-Dogg 3.0. I'll be surprised if he makes it to the end of the season.

 

Well then...
Glenn was getting annoying with all of his rage!, but at least it was understandable. I don't know what I would feel or do differently in his shoes.

Hopefully Rick has pulled himself together now that the poop is hitting the fan.

Also, that Merle+Daryl+Rick triumvirate of walker destroying rage was pretty awesome there at the end.

 

I was pretty bored until the last few minutes, tbh. It felt like a lot of filler.

 

Awesome episode was awesome. That last sequence was a fucking heart-racer and terrifying and so so very awesome.

Walker Kill Of The Week to Daryl with the car rear hatch door. Props to Rick for destroying with the butt of his Python though, and all of Michonne and Hershel and Merle and Daryl and even the Mexican family! Gah, brilliant.

 

Not sure what to make of that outside the usual; Andrea being a blind puppy and so stupid it makes my head hurt, Rick finally leaving crazy town (though in all fairness, he's probably gone through the most out of everyone left).

That said, for a show where ammo is a supposed scarcity, lot of it fired off rather randomly. The Governor and his people at least had some kind of reasoning given their feelings towards the military and probably wider search/scavenge range. Nice to see the prison safe-zone become not so safe mind, and this has to mean Tyreese makes a return towards the end of the season, I can just feel it.

Poor Axel to, was growing on me as a character even though there's always walking corpses (that aren't the Walkers) in every season.

 

Loved last night's episode! Poor Axel, taking it in the dome and spraying his load all over Carol's face... Sadly, not the load he was looking to blast all over her. RIP Axel.

Of course I loved the Zombie Kill of the Week, but a close second is Rick's pistol whip double kill. Achievement Unlocked, damn! I think more walkers got killed in that episode than all of season two combined! And last but not least, where in the actual fuck did the Governor get a full-auto AUG-A3!? Did he make a side trip to Australia? Kind of want.

Also, did anybody watch Talking Dead where the female audience member asked a panel full of guys why Maggie was all standoff-ish around Glenn before he bounced? I lol'd a little bit.
