Interesting update, but a total dick thing to do.

 

You know, I don't enjoy cliffhangers, but usually I don't mind them too much. For some reason, this one is just irritating. There's no feeling of suspense - we already know Harry will pull some uber trick and get out of this (no matter how impossible,) and I simply feel let down.

Bit of an insult to my plotting there - I'm not going to have him explode into flames and be reborn or something, its going to be a bit darker than that, and hopefully not come off as a total deus ex.

Great beginning chapters but after a while the characters sort of seemed 2D to me. And the dialogue is very verbose imo. Good story though. I loved the beginning when he thought it was one of Voldemort's illusions.

I can't give you 5/5 because the Stranger Trilogy has that spot and this fic sadly doesn't compare up to that high standard. Only stories that can compete with the Stranger Trilogy (less than a handful) can get top marks so I am sort of confused at the reviews that give it a 5/5... is it a relative mark to the other fics, or is it a mark that is based on personal criteria?

 

Yes, ratings are based on personal criteria, but if you notice the descriptions for each star you'll see that 5/5 = excellent. 5/5 does not mean that it's the best fic you've ever read. If you think there's only one 'five' out of the thousands of stories out there, you're like that dick teacher who doesn't give A's on principle.

People whose personal rating system is different from everyone else's just screw up everything, particularly when 5's are less likely to be handed out than 1's. Those routinely get tossed around for no more reason than someone dislikes the ship.

OT: I liked the chapter, Twisted. The apparent death came as quite a surprise, exactly as it should.

I'd love to give this a 5/5, but I can't. I've only made it half way through the new chapter, but I can already tell how Harry will be back to life. If Harry didn't come back to life, I would rate this 5/5, only because it would be a new, original idea that hasn't yet been ruined.

Before Harry died, though, I would have rated it about 3/5. He was all King Shit, and as soon as he left the double life for just war, I could see about five other fics, in my mind, that had the exact same plot. Especially with the dementors.

I rate it a 4/5, but it may be subject to change.

 

Pretty cool chapter. So his body reattached then he comes back to life because of the prophecy? Maybe V from his own time could only kill him, not this one... or something.

Which fics? I mean the Dementors one I was inspired by the "R-Series", which also altered the Dementors, but I like to think I'm taking things differently. I'm not trying to totally rebuff any criticism, but theres no need to point the finger of unoriginality before youve even read the damn story to its conclusion.

EDIT: Couple of reviewers saying I went too far or the whole nature of Harry now doesn't tally with canon for Inferi. Chapter 24 will explore this more, never fear. Although what does DLP think?

 

Lol this chapter made me laugh so hard, because I keep picturing a zombie harry shouting, "I'm back bitches!" in the midst of a fierce battle, and then he starts eating people and freaking everyone out.
