I have to say, I looked back at that though, and it was a bit weird. Like, you said Kalas was scum, Riley claimed, and then you said he was probably scum. It went in that progression specifically

That's also a thing. Knowing I didn't check Kalas, it's possible scum!Riley thought he could get away with calling Kalas scum and knew grave-digger wouldn't catch him. Forgot that point.

 

I still find it unlikely that Kalas was town, yeah, but I clearly didn't read the freaking rules. That's inexcusable, sorry. So there was no check, which I had assumed there would be.

So that changes so many things. I think Kalas was scum for several reasons, but yeah, it is far, far more likely now that he wasn't scum. So Citrus is town, fonti is town, Newcomb is town and I'm town. Cobalt is very likely town. We have one claim, so soup shouldn't be a thing.

Hmm... let me play with things for a second.

 

Fonti is town, Citrus is town, Newcomb is town, and I'm town.

We lynch Rilaxis slot, and then Taure. Last resort, Typhon. If we don't win by then I'll be HUGELY surprised.

 

Should we lynch Rilaxis and the game not end, we know for a fact there's 1 last witch among us (talk about town comebacks!).

I'm at a loss where the last scum is. In my opinion the most likely place is Taure, but I really don't think he's scum because of his interactions with Waco.

Next on the list is Typhon, because he has a lot of things that make him really town in my mind, and then a few things that are kinda scummy in retrospect. Like for example that one post way back, when he fingered 3 players he wanted to lynch as Jan, Kalas, and Waco? Scum fingering 1 teammate in 3 is a thing. But there's a lot that makes me think he's town (not just his recent dumbtell). Also there's no way Riley fake-claimed Oracle/Gravedigger AND Typhon then softed it too, right?

Cobalt would be next. He's had a lot of genuinity all game, I think he's been very towny, I've believed just about all his reactions. He's in this spot because I don't know his game history and in the event he's a masterful expert witch I guess he could be running circles around me (the same way you all keep getting paranoid I've been doing so heh).

Newcomb's last on my list, because his reactions are so fucking genuine and they fit so fucking well into the way he tries to solve the game as town. Like I think I have a pretty damn good read on him this game, similar vibes to Narutomafia when I thought he was town pretty through-and-through.

Thank god Fontisian has a town-check on her, because I would be having so much trouble dealing with her if she wasn't townfirmed.

Something I was also trying to figure out was if in fact Kalas was town, that means there were 3 witches alive Day 2. And then 2 witches alive today.

Normally it's a lot harder to play townish from the scum category in this kinda scenario, because the town is out trying to finger more scum players than there are alive, and it's really hard not to get caught by those extra scumreads. Which is putting me at even more of a loss or where the last scum is (I can see Taure and one of Riley/Kalas, I'm dumbfounded if it's Typhon/Cobalt/Newcomb in increasing order of dumb-foundedness)

Nah, I actually am a shitty scum and usually get caught out for not changing up my scumplay. I'm never this towny. Ask fontisian , I just got shot in a game with her on day two for being too obvious, lol. If Snowvon were here I'd have him vouch for me.

My only other tinyhunt game, I asked to be a witch with my friend and we were witchy as fuck for the entire game for shits and giggles, it was a blast. We lost.

Plot twist: this is actually the witch team and y'all bout to lose.

That's impossible though because town!Riley means witch!Kalas. But that's a fun world to think about actually.

 

In fairness, I was meant to be softing ambitiously between the two, not just the Gravedigger. Ideally Jan was something not the oracle and the Gravedigger targeted Kalas (obviously, because i thought it was nightly for some godforsaken reason and why wouldnt you use it on Kalas N1 if it was nightly. The plan was that I could put the information out there, and either draw a soup failure N2 or have scum try to jump on it to claim town cred for themselves by being less ambiguous. The reason I did everything I did (the process you pointed out w/ me and Riley was to make it look like I was doing a shit job at softing so maybe they wouldn't think it was a ploy. So when somebody hardclaimed, I "tried" to slink out of the spotlight.

BUT yeah. At this point I think the game is more or less finished. Nobody claim, lynch Rilaxis then Taure if it's still going, and then wp scum if it's still not over. I'm going to read Waco, though, so I'll get back to you guys about that.

 

Can you link that, actually? I've mostly discarded scum!Cobalt worlds, but the fact remains that if you're a witch, you have me deeply, deeply pocketed, so I wouldn't mind comparing this to a scum!Cobalt TinyHunt.

 

I suppose I should go through Kalas/Waco interactions before the Day ends, since the game isn't going to end by lynching me.

Gun to my head I'd say the last scum is Typhon unless we have some super savvy scum players around here.

I really hope the last scum isn't going to soup like I did in Tiny Hunt 3.

 

I would really appreciate if you could give your thoughts on typhon and taure, and interactions both have had with Waco, if you have the time

But yeah, I can verify that Cobalt was very blatantly mafia in that game.

 

It was stupid because the reason I got heat in the first place was for placing my vote before I finished my ISO analysis on the person (which I do a lot of as town) so it looked like I was bandwagoning. I was annoyed with how that turned out. We actually had a plan to make me last through day/night 3 if I survived day two's ITA's, but I didn't.

 

So I kinda hate everyone right now. I'm feeling like a lot of town players are deliberately fucking around and it's beginning to piss me off.

Either that or Eido has dropped a surprise game of closed mafia on us and there are actually more than three scum.

Like, I don't even know what's going on with fonti right now. If she weren't confirmed town I would be all over her. I'm moderately sure she's softclaimed two entirely different roles by now, and in fact is neither of them.

I've based my entire decision making on each one in turn. Now it seems that the mechanical knowledge fonti was claiming was just made up.

I mean, am I correct in thinking that the only way fonti can possibly be scum is if the scum team is Citrus/Sesc/fontisian, both Typhon and Riley are town but fake claimed with wrong information about Kalas for lulz, and both the Oracle and Graverobber died by day 2?

Because at the level of paranoia I'm at right now, I'm not even ruling that situation out -_-

And as for Citrus, I'm finding the whole graverobber claim highly suspicious. It feels like a witch drunk on success going for the ultimate victory, managing to fake claim two separate roles in a single game, both of them with other contenders for the role, and yet BOTH TIMES THE TOWN BELIEVES HIM.

I was ready to go with the "trust Citrus" vibe so long as I ignored my paranoia about bluffs and double bluffs and triple bluffs, but god is he making it hard to stick to that.

Still trying to ignore paranoia and go for the most sensible option. That seems to me to still be Riley/Prophylaxis. I'm less sure about following it with Typhon, now that Typhon has openly admitted he was trolling with his earlier softclaim.

Basically every read I had has been messed up by apparently town players coming out and saying they were lying when they previously softclaimed a role. I'm severely tempted just to vote to lynch anyone who admits they lied to the town. But no, must not lynch in anger.

Like, don't get me wrong, gambits have their place in the game. But this feels like gambit ground zero - there are so many town players performing gambits, some of them even with two contradictory gambits going, that we're just in a state of total confusion.

 

We're not lynching Citrus.
