Without looking at the claims or my reads on both players at all I think the act of Jan claiming vig, us asking Q to claim and Q cc'ing Vig generally makes more sense if Q is mafia. It's less likely for Jan to manage to fake claim the role of the next person in line as it is for scum to CC the person before them; not doing so means risking having their CC be a clear and be versing someone more town read than themselves.

I do! I'll be able to sit down and actually think about / try to solve this game in about two hours, if you're still around then that'll certainly help, if not that's fine I'm sure we'll be online at the same time at some point tomorrow. Not sure if you've gone into this earlier but can you explain the reasoning behind actually softing your real role at any point in the game? Did you expect to be CC'ed down the line? Your thought process on this would help.

Softing everything but your role would be a hint to your own role once it is known.

So yeah I don't have to soft my role .. but If I start softing stuff in a game like this then I am likely to soft several roles and there is a good chance my real role is one of them.

I mean .. you saw that scum tried to guess my role. Not the worst result for a night of fun.

Allstars is Wednesday night (videomafia). With mostly us players it starts 3 am my time.

If I can somehow make it, then I will play.
Unlikely most weeks, but I am somewhat ill right now (cold), but I slept till 6pm yesterday .. so yeah why not!

 

Thanks, your explanation re; softing makes sense. If you could put forward a bullet point list of the things you think point the most to Q being mafia that'd also help. I will be following through your suggestion of rerreading sections of the game to see which of you make the most sense though.

I'm no doctor but staying up to wee hours in the morning is probably not the thing to do when you're sick! But get well soon. Still need to get a few more things done including work out how to cook lentils properly but I'll be back in ~1 hour to get to this.

 

Will try to get a few hours of sleep in. allstars just ended and sun is not up yet!

Might do it afterwards. I am honestly a bit lazy right now and think you should be capable of reading me town. But might work my way through his iso later if there still is the need.
