I liked some stuff early on...

I was a bit unsure because of his early von townread.
It is something scum tend to do since von will be townread anyway and getting some cred for is and maybe pocketing him is always good.

But his attitude and postcount are very very likely town.

The way he responded to the "you don't really want to get lumped accusation" was precious and towny as well.

On the other hand .. he did stop campaigning - again!

I think he is a good ways outside of his scumrange.

    Vote Mathblade

    Softlynch it is.

    i believe you.

Did you know that the sherlock emote gets used by scum around 15 times as much compared to town?

On a serious note, it has nothing to do with your actual reads (although I largely agree with them): you're just doing what I've been begging miner to do all game - trying to solve the game. You want to confirm as scum or town someone who you feel is 1)likely to be scum and 2)a good lump if he's town, and then you have a plan to read other people using your newly confirmed info.

These are thought processes that I saw and can get behind as someone who is trying to solve the game, and are consistent with the early stuff you did (when you deigned to do stuff early). A consistent solving mindset is town - either you'll keep it up because you are town, or you'll slip later because you're scum and I'll kill you then. Either way, I'm pleased with my earlier decision to not worry about today now.

The second one you just said what I was thinking, no deep analysis there.

I mean, we clearly are if you're town - there was no exageration at all earlier when I said that your actions only made sense to me in a world where you are scum. Which is frustrating, but, again, c'est la vie.

I just... I am genuinely thinking about what the solution might be, and coming up short. Like, unless you do some solving on other people, I can't possibly believe in you as town. You've been inconsistent, you've backpedaled off of statements you've made repeatedly, and I just literally can't find the town train of thought I'm looking for in you. Like, it's kinda similar to Mathblade in that I feel like both of you guys just made your minds up about who was scum right off the line, and have never looked back. And I know you say that isn't true, but it feels that way to me.

Sorry if that comes off as whatever, but that just kinda is what it is.

Not sure how much point there is, but I'm going to go answer your question now.

I think I've said everything that I could to convince you I'm town, Typhon.

Like, my play might not be something you would read as town, but I think I've made a compelling case.

I exhausted myself with all the rapidfire question answering too.

I think I will be going to sleep soon, and I have work tomorrow so I won't be around until ~5 hours before deadline.

I think I'll sleep on this and see if I see anything new tmrw.

Post this is in response to is here (739).

Hmm. Shades of MTGS - DLP just ate my post. I am not amused. Expect less than you were expecting previously.

My points are this - I get that you're not going to scumread yourself, but you have to understand why Q and I are hard scumreading you. Like, sure, town makes mistakes, but there are like four instances of you in the thread saying something, getting called on it, and saying "yeah, I said that scummy thing but I meant this less scummy thing instead". And not just that - I have a massive wall that I talk about you in. Mistakes happen, but slow down and say what you mean if you aren't scum, because you do look like it.

On to your question, I'm having mortal hell figuring out your mindset if town. It makes sense as scum - you saw a weakness in my early posts, tied a low activity player and myself together, and then got screwed when the one of us you were scumreading by association disappeared and the other became a town leader (or at the very least a town sub-leader). Like, that sucks for you, but that shit happens. It's why I hate scum. So in that world you're now a half step away from lolcatting, just trying to make sure you get lump instead of lynched because at least you'll deprive town of a vote. That makes some of the incomprehensible things you've said make perfect sense, so that's where I honestly think we are.

If you're town... idk, man. You started scumreading me in these 3 posts: 151, 200, 212. Your issues with me are self consciousness, being overly concerned about votes (which never made sense to me anyway, but w/e), partner interactions with demonturtle, not campaigning hard enough for lump, not being that active, and using soft language. When I prod you about your argument later later, you call part of it a "tone" read.

And you know, some of those things were understandable thoughts still circa 212. That's why I didn't really want to string you up then. But read the list, man. How many of those things are valid at this point? At this point, most people are townreading me - I don't need lump (if I'm wrong, give me that bitch but like I don't think I am). I'm active, I'm solving, and the biggest complaint you've seemed to be levelling on me lately is that I trust the other members of the town circle too much and shouldn't build on their cases and them on mine, which is... yeah.

So no, I don't get town you. And I think it's kind of a shame to let you kill off our panda as well, but I also think that it's an acceptable loss to not have to spend the game quibbling over you with Snow, fonti, and Jari about you if they aren't 100% convinced you're scum too as well as to provide insurance that I'm not fucking up in building teams around you.

Idk if anyone is around who just wants to chat, but I think I'm probably done writing long shit for one night.

I do still owe Quiddity and answer about why I re-evaluated on Kalas, though - please don't let me forget when we're both around tomorrow.

Mathblade seems mad at being 'caught' for the 'wrong' reasons.

    lynch mathblade

I'm still the best lump friend. We have to make pandas great again people - I alone can fix the vast and complicated issues facing pandas in today's world.

Ok you're definitely getting unpersoned. I'm not one to convey empty threats, as you well know.

Actually, I have a question - Kai, lets say you have a panda farm, and you have one too many pandas on it. All the pandas can't survive like this, so you have to give away to a good home. Your two choices are a Koala bear in a suit and some guy in a snowflake tshirt with a pickaxe.

    What happens next?

---------- Post automerged at 10:05 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:03 PM ----------

It was pretty harsh, but we had a tough day in our town council headquarters today. I'm sure he didn't mean it.

You should stop by sometime, see what it's about.
