Typhon, I think you're tunneling, and you just really want to be right.

 

Lets say that there's scum as #6 on the list we make and we have the bottom 5 claim, scum that's #6 can CC #5 claimer and we lynch the #5 claimer. That's 5 town roles in the open with scum only needing to soup 4 players to win the game, unlikely perhaps but not impossible. If we're getting claims here we're doing it slowly and stopping well short of 5.

Doubt fonti threw her weight into Waco over Math if she was Math's buddy. Waco doesn't let yesterday be two competing scum wagons if it's him. Kai would be done posting because he'd have literally imploded on that claim. Jan maybe, but I'm never lynching him over Fluff without a red check. Jari is a hard sell for me, but we could put him in the Jan tier if that makes you feel better.

Like, we could pointlessly kill Reg, but I'm feeling pretty confident it's not him. Not me/you/Q. Not Kalas.

It's gotta be Fluff. And like, honestly, if it's not then it's not a huge loss to remove the mislynch.

I don't think we need it to win the game anyway (what with 10 town to 1 scum), so yeah, it's probably better not to take any risks with soups.

Typhon - Think about it this way; what angle is Fluff working here with as scum? If he has no soup left like you're suggesting is plausible why would he even consider a claiming idea which puts him in automatic loss? And if he is scum with a soup he'd know he'd be first to claim, CC'ed and lynched? It's not impossible he's scum here but I'm not see the scum motivation from his play today.

I haven't done my big reread that I want to do yet but the follow arguments make Jari very plausible mafia;
- Decrease in content as the game has progressed, makes sense as scum knowing it's not winnable.
- Weird attitude around the Miner/Math wagons D1.
- Was part of Miner/Math in pushing Typhon D1, makes sense as scum trying to generate a counterwagon.

Like, I get your points about "what is the scum motivation here?", but like what else could he do? Besides concede, which feels kinda bad. If it really was his soup that was used or he was hoping for a mass claim today, he's done everything he could. He already has more activity than yesterday so far. Like. This is not a town player.

Like, yes, I saw the Waco wall, but I can't imagine scum!Waco coming into the thread with something like that if we're being honest.

And Jari is a thing or whatever, but I don't believe in that, not really.

My biggest ? on HF is he made the wagons Math 5 Waco 3 yesterday, which doesn't make sense if with math

Jarizok made it 6-3 which is ? but more bus-ish than HF

I do rate them most likely to let Math make that soup

 

If kalas wasn't essentially confirmed town here I'd want to lynch him for being so revisionist.

 

Typhon - I think Scum!Fluff soups last night if he has it remaining or just flat out lurks the game out if he doesn't. Him deciding to put effort in here makes minimal sense as scum especially if the effort he's putting forward locks him in to die and lose as mafia via his claim suggestions? It does as town in "Now I'm a direct threat of dying, lets solve this for after I die". Don't get me wrong, it's still potentially Fluff here given that I've not town read anything of his before today but I think you're far too confident.

 

Please stop wanting to go for the really easy lynch when the person has exhibited behavior that's NAI at best, "doesn't make sense as scum unless they're not playing to their wincon" at worst.

Alright, that's fine. You guys think it through, I'm not unwilling to hear good arguments for someone else.

I just. Like, if I squint I can see the arguments for Waco after this wall, Jari on not having /actually/ done much, maybe Jan for some sort of soup fuckery.

But like, I feel like the thing with Math was we got too in our own heads about gamestate things when it really was simple as "this person is scummy as hell. Lynch. Profit." The Fluff argument isn't /just/ low activity. There's also something that can very obviously be seen as a bus from Miner /and/ Math when the two of them were in trouble.

You can say that's too easy, and maybe you guys are right and I'm being an idiot, but we have caught two scum so badly they claimed in a Hunt game. We're killing it. It may really just be that easy.

I mean, that's a little unfair. Yeah, I very obviously want to be right.

But like.

It's not like I've been tunnelling them since I made that post so as to be right or anything. And it's not just the lurking, (although if that's NAI from him to this degree it should 100% be lynched out of him, but that's a different conversation), although active lurking is pretty damn scummy. It's when he does post real things (there have been like 4 instances), they're also scummy.

But fine, you guys can discuss. If you don't feel like I'm rights, I'll quit bouncing around in the thread and trying to get people to lynch him for now, I'm not going to be a pain in the ass about it.
