It doesn't seem to me that much time has past between chapter 1 and your latest chapter. Alot of the things seem to be happening all compacted into a few days that are taking up like 3-4 chapters to write, now your chapters arn't those pissy little 1000 k but up to like what? 4? just seems that it's going to take a fucking eon to get to hogwarts? love how Ginslut got a serving to absolutly fantastic, perhaps there can be some more Ginslut! bashing, it's soooo rear to see it that i nearly had an anurisim (sp?) seeing her get smacked the fuck out.

The Sanctuary room strikes me as borderline cliche, but only because it makes so much sense. The fact that the Malfoy's have a hidden cubby-hole of dark art goodies is cannon. It makes sense that the Blacks, a comparable dark pureblood family would have something similar (or better, as you are portraying them as particularly inventive with the portraits). It is natural that one would hide the best tomes illegal or not, if only to insure the head's supremacy both within the family, and out in public

 

Hi all. Chapter 16 is about 1/3 done. With chapter 5 of bungle about 75 percent done. By the end of the weekend they should both be almost done and turned over to the crack team who tells me when I am doing well or writing crap.

Lord O - You are right, but honestly the story felt like it needed to be so compressed. You'll be pleased to know that chapter 16 starts 1 week later on Harry's birthday. Only took me 16 chapters to get there. Poor Ginny, things just keep worse for her. Do you think I should cut her a break? Nah!

The Sinner - Thanks. What I am trying to present is two (well 3 if you count Voldy) powerful men who don't agree on how the world is run. Two of them are forced to work together.

yes i do believe that it would of been far more benificial to kick just Ginslut out and to see who follows hell the whole family would fuck off so its a win/win. To let them hang around is a show of weakness especially after the stunt she pulled, if he is fighting for independence he cant be going and showing that he as the least bit merciful to those that decieve and betray him!

 

if i was harry i wouldn't let anyone in that house i didn't trust completely. i mean all the times he's been betrayed and screwed over. i can also see penny twisting ginny to be a DE using her obession for harry to turn her.

Chapter 16 is up for your reading pleasure. I'm typing up the author's notes now and will put them up shortly. I have to say that Lord Myst will probably be relieved about the resolution to the Penny problem.

Chapter 16 Author's notes -

Scene 1 - It's been a week and Harry and Susan are exploring the physical side of their relationship. Once again, I tried to do it tastefully and in the context of the story. Hannah's reaction to being in the proximity of the two of them was worth a good laugh. I also tried to clear up some of the relationship dynamics in the house. The three or four Hermione fans left will be pleased that they made up. Ron having to play peacemaker. I started writing it and it just didn't work, so I covered it in passing and left it to your imagination about Ron's bumbling attempts to get his two best friends talking.

Scene 2 - Massive Weasley bashing. Penny coming up with a viable explanation for Ginny's actions. Or at least something Ginny believes. Penny writes her report to her father props to my creative assistants for adding some of the things Penny would likely mention.

Scene 3 - One part fluffy interaction another part to catch up on current events. You get an explanation why Hermione was so reluctant to fight the Dementors. (There's also the implied explanation that she was scared.) I figured if Snape's teaching is that horribly biased, then a need is created. Invariably, someone will step in and fill that need otherwise just about every position in Wizarding society that required a Potion's newt would be a former Slytherin. We also get a small inventory of cursed items in the Sanctuary room.

Scene 4 - Penny sure hates the Weasleys at this point. I also threw in some background info at ChuckDaTruck's recommendation to how Penny came to be a devoted Daughter of Antonin Dolohov. She thinks thoughts that have crossed just about everyone on this boards minds at one point.

Scene 5 - Birthday party. Hagrid makes an appearance. I thought his gift was cool without being ridiculously overpowered. There's a little lesson about how one fights a giant.

Scene 6 - Penny's big scene. You find out that she was instrumentatl in the original January breakout at Azkaban. Maybe, I'll write that story one day, but I'm too busy right now. Hope you were surprised by the ending.

You've done a great job at keeping things plausible and realistic. Glad you skipped doing an out-right lemon, it only seems like it would take away from the story at this point.

Great twist at the end with the oath. I can only hope this further crushes Ginny as she realizes her main supporter is aligned with Voldemort. You make her fun to hate, whereas I usually just dislike her by default. =)

 

Good chapter. I like the story because it's more realistic than the most I've read. I hope it's updated soon. I want to see Ginny's reaction.

 

Totally unexpected to see Percy's Ghost.

That was quite a realistic ending, and pretty funny to that Penny was so Pissed off.

I look forward to how you're gonna get the Baby out before Penny tries and kills it.

A very surprising chapter. Didn't see that coming but very happy with the result. You changed Hermione's character a bit too fast for my liking.
Anyway what were the books that penny stole from the black library? you mentioned them at least 2 times.
Can't wait to see Ginslut's reaction and what happens to penny...

i found a problem (atleast for me) with the new chapter...
Penny being caught so early on takes away the Deatheater!Ginny character because Penny has been exposed, and ginny trusted penny but won't now because of her being a DE, maybe her role should've been kept hidden for a while longer..

 

Who said Ginny will become DE?

 

Maybe she'll just go crazy and start slaughtering people. And after she does, who else will have her but Voldemort? It's a good setup, in my opinion.
