Actually more like 20-30 per chapter on average. Chapter 8-10 have been picking up as I have done some of my more interesting ideas. I am sure if my love interest was GW or HG then I would have lots and lots of reviews, but I didn't want to do what everyone else does. I hope that is apparent.

I haven't been to AFF net lately, but if the slash lovers are as prevalent as they are on ffnet, then there is little point in going there.

You've convinced me. I will start posting on ficwad. I will also try and get around to reading your story.

Wouldn't it be nice if ffnet would break up Mature into Mature and Mature/Slash, so you don't have to read about how Harry and Draco suddenly realized that the anger they feel towards each other is just unresolved sexual tension.

Oh well. Chapter 11 will be up by the weekend. I will start posting this fic on ficwad. Who knows maybe help make it a haven for good ff. I promise that my story earns its mature rating in this chapter.

You have to look very hard if you want to find a non-slash story on AFF.net.

 

It sure seems that a mature harry that is written well is always ruined by slash.. i just don't get it, why can't someone write a good, mature, original, heterosexual story? i'm not saying that they aren't out there but the number is so low that there hard to find..
Definetly go to ficwad, less stories, less reviews, yet they are better.

 

whenever i click on M for harry potter character and 20 000 words, most of them are slash, which is redicilious. the only way i even try to find a good fic is go to search or go through the favorites of other more sensible arthor like vorlon666.

 

That's exactly what i do.

I either use IP82's list, or i use the lists from Vash's C2, Lord Ravenclaw, Mriddler or Jolly Rancher...i think that's Sree, if i'm not mistaken.

Just bugering around to find a fic really doesn't help...i always get hit in the face by beastiality or slash.

 

Favorite lists r the way to go, i get alot from jolly rancher and ip82

Harry certainly won't be offering any olive branches to Hermione. It is going to have to come from her. I intend to place Ron "I spit slugs" in the role of peacemaker between the two. That should amuse me. Considering how inept he is.

Harry won't go out of his way to bash her, but if she becomes a target of opportunity.

I like the way you're deling with the Trio friendship. (am i the only one that gets annoyed by 'Golden Trio'?) I can see Hermione doing it all wrong for a long time, and finally getting it right after all else fails.

 

So your going to have Ron be the peacemaker, Merlin help Harry's sanity. I cannot see Ron making all things better, make Hermione sweat a bit before Harry makes peace with her, then have "Leech" make a formal apology to Mrs. Susan Bones-Potter, love that pairing.

 

God i hope there's hermoine bashing, i hate that know-it-all bitch, not enough authors bash her and keep ron as a good guy, the only stories i can think of are "Flames of Betrayal" and "Final Straw" if anyone knows of any other stories like this i would like to know.

 

LT2000 (Lord Serapeth) has Dakaath: Prince of Darkness. Hermione is a bit of an attention-whore do-gooder in it, but not in the way that truly bashes her. Ron is the faithful, now insane, lieutenant that Harry has.

 

you know, alot of people really hate ron and herm. i don't hate ron or herm, i think that female slash lovers and JKR really fucked them up really good.
JKR doesn't even make them grow up in the books.

all the slash lovers that write the stories in the FF just makes it worse.

those two characters has alot of potential. that's what i think anyway.

and harry, don't even get me started on him.

 

I try to reserve judgment when reading fanfiction. It depends on how the character is being portrayed (and if it's a realistic characterization) Only after being exposed to this site have I started to cringe away from "non-death-to-Gin-Gin" fics and slash (yes, I did read it. Shoot me.) The only character I won't make exceptions for is Draco Malfoy, because I despise him.

The books? I hate just about every character besides Fluffy and Tonks.. wait, HBP ruined Tonks too. Dammit.

Ron as a peacemaker? *grins* That sounds most entertaining. :lol: I can't wait!
