This fic has a lot of problems, but since I'd never read a fic where Harry is the hated twin, yet not the wrong BWL, I kept at it.

First of all with the problems. It's got cliches, spelling mistakes, and grammatical issues. Kids speaking in adult voices is another problem. More importantly, everyone but Harry has been dumbed down, and Harry's progress at times seems too sudden and choppily executed.

That said, the idea in general was interesting, and I feel that if executed well, it could have easily been one of my favourite fics. I also liked the way it ended, even though it seemed abrupt.

It's not something I'd read twice, but it was somewhat unique and I can see the potential in it, and while it was not enjoyable per se, it had its moments.

    3/5

Read through till the end because of the premise. The ending was so messed up that I kept checking if there was a sequel.

Doesn't belong in the review section.

I read this ages ago, and I kept reading until the end. The writing is pretty unpolished, in my opinion, and it certainly doesn't flow well. The premise is a little thin, although it's sort of explained in the end- albeit, in a very rushed thrown in kind of way.

That said, I do remember that at the end, I had enjoyed reading it. Harry's descent into darkness to save the one person he loved- cliched premise, but enjoyable nonetheless. With better polish, this could have been a really awesome story. It had lots of potential.

I'm kind of debating what to give it now. For me, it's definitely a 3/5, but I almost want it in the library for others to reads. I'll...

Before starting, I'd like to point out that I didn't finish it. I read it until shortly after Harry's trip to Knockturn Alley.

I'm really surprised by some of the reviews here. The Potter characterization is ridiculous, Harry's is completely absurd and, let's be honest, the execution is terrible. More importantly, at least for me, is that the Potter's behavior is not necessary at all. The interesting point here is Harry's 'descent into darkness' to bring his sister back and James and Lily's behavior isn't necessary for that to happen. Harry and Natasha being close is necessary, but that closeness could've been achieved in a different, more plausible way.

Harry, a eleven years old, sounding like an angry dark lord all the time, swearing to kill children if necessary, learning dark arts in the first year from a random 5th year, having sex, etc... How did this fic get a rating higher than two out of five?

I don't think it belongs in the Library. Actually, I don't think this even belongs to the Almost Recommended section. In my humble opinion, it fails even as a guilty pleasure fic. I can't rate this higher than 1/5 in good consciousness.

This story isn't good not by a long shot. But, it's a decent time waster with an ending.
