Not to burst your bubble Mrriddler, but that was three months ago when he said he has new ideas. Hopefully he really is working, but it's been three months so we can't be sure until he posts.

 

Yeah, I noticed after my post. Thought that was weird. Mid didn't say anything about his story in chat.

 

I was all for it, then the Hard drive wiped and I lost my inspiration to keep going once I saw how out of date the material I had found backed up was to work with.

I seriously lost well over 75% of my well researched plot lines, and many of the restarts I've done have had too many cliches for me to stomache.

Summer is pure hell for me, 75+ hour weeks, so I can't see it happening for awhile.

 

Fuck, that really sucks. I really hope that you're able to come up with a new inspiration soon and that you're able to fix this. I really like this story.

 

So really we should consider this story abandoned or at the very LEAST on Hiatus. (Its been well over 6 months since the last update, and I THINK we'll be hitting a year in August, although I'm not certain).

Well, I hope you get it back on track, Mid, but at this point I would say I PERSONALLY consider it abandoned.

Either way good luck, and hopefully you'll get through work so you can maybe write again (I won't hold my breath though...I do like air, you know)

Anyway, have fun, and if you get a chance and feel like it, write, if you don't that's cool too.

really a shame that you haven't continued this story (though i read your reasons and understand them) it has one of the best starts i've ever read.

One thing i am curious about is though why almost any good dark harry story is abandoned at some point

true, but considering that it is the longest thread in this subboard and midnight is still an active board-user i have hope that with encouragement he would actually pick up the fic again.

 

Actually in the library, posting in old threads in accepted as long as you give proper reviews and the such.

And yes, Dark!Harry stories do tend to lose steam as they are incredibly difficult to write.

 

I just got busy as shit with a few promotions and pay raises, and am still busy enough that other then about an hour a night or so relaxing, I'm either asleep, eating, or at work 6 days a week.

That and when I do have some free time I need to spend time with my family, hell I've barely been on the boards in the past 3 months I've started this new site.

 

I just read this story recently and it's good, I'm not going to bother with comments as it's all pretty much been said and I can't think of anything else.

Nice job MidKnight, hope you get around to updating at somepoint.

hmm, this would be a decent story if it had a beta. The errors in grammar and punctuation make it almost painful to read. It also goes a bit too fast for my tastes, but I suppose that it's a stylistic decision on the part of the writer.

 

Yeah the of/have mixups get annoying after a bit. Still a good story, though I've only read about half of it (I'm about to start reading the rest)

 

What happened to the other page where you pretty much said it was horrible as hell?

As for too fast, its nowhere near as fast as most fics, hell he's not ultra powerful yet, and only 2 major things of note have happened.

ah well, I doubt I'll ever finish, everytime I come back to write more something happens or fandom pisses me off.

 

I'm pretty sure I reviewed on FF.net at some point, but I figure I may as well say it again. I really liked TW, and it was one of the first few good Dark Independant fics I came across, so it's got a place in my heart, as it were . The spelling and grammar really isn't that bad. Noticeable in some places but not enough to come close to spoiling it. I'd ask you to update, but considering the comment above I guess it's best just to look hopeful.
