    Title: Re-Ordered
    Rating: NC17 (announced)
    Pairings: Harry/Hermione/Luna/Padma
Summary: When would be one of the worst points in time for an over-powered Harry to return to his past? During the Trial before the Wizengamot! Time-traveling Harry reworks Year 5. Harry/Hermione/Luna/Padma

These are the first two stories from a new series by DrT. The idea is simple: After HBP, Harry discovers that Molly and Ginny were drugging him, kills Voldemort, destroys the Ministry and remains alone. So, he takes the time turner and sends his spirit to his younger body, a some point in his 4th-5th year. What differs is the point in time where his spirit ends up, branching this AU to 4 (2 for now) new AU's...

In Triwizard Redux, he ends up just before the first task. I honestly HATED this story. H/Hr romance here was probably the worst yet I've seen in DrT's work. While his logical approach is always nice to read, Harry's constant self-righteous speeches and super-sweet HHr romance made me give up this story pretty quickly.

Re-Ordered, on the other hand, is MUCH better. Harry wakes up during his trial for casting Patronius and immedietely declares his independence, breaking away from both Dumbledore and the Ministry (with slight Dumbledore, Molly and Ginny bashing). Again he hooks up with Hermione, but at least there should be some other girls joining the party later on. All in all, much better material then the first fluff fest.

2.5/5 for Redux and 4.5/5 for Re-Ordered. Let's say 3.75/5 on the whole.

Other parts of the series should be added on later, as they get published.

PS The thread really needs a better name, but there's not one yet for the whole series...

Couldn't stand the first one. The romance between Harry and Hermione was so forced by the author, I began to even wonder why the author was writing a Harry/Hermione. As soon as Harry introduced the engagement ring in the beginning I called it quits.

I don't know if I want to try to second one. I can read Harry/Hermione pairings, barely, but this was pushing it.

1/5, the romance just...shouldn't be there.

Should I even give the second one a shot, is the attempt at romance any better?

Eww, the pairing is not my cup of tea.

I really wish Harry would just go and blow up Voldemort in these fics, if he knew what was going to happen surely he would just change it.

    1/5 I agree

Agree about the first one. As for the second one, it's only two chapters ATM, but the romance seems much less opressing... and then, there's the whole multi-pairing thing. We'll see...

Yeah, I've been following these on FicWad for a while. (I really should get off my ass and start posting the odd fic to the Review section.)

Triwizard Redux is, to be quite frank, terrible. The characterization is way off, and I ALWAYS ditch a fic when Harry starts making self-righteous speeches to Dumbledore and Snape and starts threatening them. Plus it was painfully obvious that the only reason that Harry doesn't kill Voldemort now (in his spirit/baby body) is to let the fic be longer.

The second one is bearable, though I still hold no great appreciation for it. There'll be angsty scenes with Luna because the Ravenclaws throw her stuff around, blah, blah...it's pretty sure to get on my nerves.

IP: Are you sure it's even a series? It seems to me like he's become indecisive, and just started two similar stories to let the readers decide on the one that continues. Kinda like what Stained Future did with those Elf/StarWars fics.

    I'm giving both a 2/5.

Well, read what was there of the second one and, although it was an improval, I still can't see either of these stories here, and can easily see a large bashing in the near future.

Second story I would give a 2.5/5 I suppose. Tolerable, but not a story I will look forward to updating. Just a story to read when nothing else is there.

In both stories, the Heir-Of-Everything/Godly!Harry seems a bit too much, a bit too contrived. I mean, personally I like the idea that was used in Stranger in an Unholy Land, where just because harry has memories of casting spells and such doesn't mean he really knows them. Ah, oh well, but the cliche definitely knocks a few points off.

Personally, I thought that Redux was a bit too far on the cliche side and sappy at that, but it's not written too horribly; Harry seems to be a bit overagnsty imho, though. 2/5

For Re-Ordered, I liked the first chapter greatly when he basically declared war on the world and broke from the ministry, but now I'm not quiet so sure about it, with the end leaving a return to Hogwarts almost inevitable. If the author truly goes out against the ministry it might be able to make up for the overfluff. 3.5/5

Personally, I like DrT's theories on politics in the wizarding world, and as the two are virtually identical, I'll probably only be following ReOrdered.

i like the writing style and this wouldnormaly be my kind of story but redux was indeed horrible, and although re-ordered was much MUCH better still not great. will probably carry on reading re-ordered but redux for the bin.

Ugh. I could not bear to read either one of these. The first one is forced beyond belief, and while it does have an interesting idea or two, the righteous speach always pisses me off at the author. Think of an original way, for God's sake! 2/5

The second one is somewhat interesting, in theory. But the merger of mind and magic, then the standard "I am independant and obscenely wealthy" comes to fore. I don't mind wealthy!Harry, but it has to be done tastefully, and it should rarely be combined with super!Harry who can make his aura appear on a whim. 2.5/5

No. Just no. Both of them are so... so... pathetic and stupid it hurt to even read this pile of dog crap.

The first one had an typical independtant!Harry+Hermione problem - when Hermione asks Harry what is going on he tell's her everything - including those that she should not know. I like Harry/Hermione paring but in this fic it just hurts my eyes.

The second one is just the same. With the typical idea: Harry-is-goddam-heir-to-the-founders-and-merlin-but-he-still-
    need-to-scream-at-some-people-to-prove-he-is-an-stupid-brat-with-allot-of-powers.

Redux is a little too much like wish-fulfillment for me, and frankly the idea that a grown Harry inhabits his younger body and immediately proposes to a 14/15 year old Hermione is a little creepy. That relationship came out of absolutely nowhere.

Harry also essentially solved all of his problems in chapter 1. The way it's set up now, the only conflict in the story is going to be whether Harry should kill Voldemort with his wand in the wrong hand or wandlessly...

Re-Ordered could be interesting, although I really don't care for the HHr pairing (although the harem angle should blunt that).

I'm obviously in the minority, but I liked them both. Then again, as much as I hate H/G, H/Hr is one of my favourite pairings.... especially if other girls are involved too lol

Further, I like DrT's stories, and yes, most of them are a bit on the sappy lovey side, but are all, for the most part, well written.

Yes, the idea, at this point, is beyond cliche, that said, cliche doesn't HAVE to be bad, it just usually ends up that way...

And as for the 'series' or 'seeing which story people like and then continuing it' thing, I don't really think its either... read the authors notes at the end of chapter one in both stories.... he has 4 stories that are all the same basic idea, he is changing a few little things (such as the exact time of Harry's return to the past) in each one, and writing a sort of 'what if'.... personally I like the idea, I think he is one of the few writers that might be able to pull it off, instead of getting part way and then abandoning the story....

in any case, for both I would say about a 4/5.... maybe a 4.5/5 for re-ordered.

I was pretty close to reading this story, but I think I'll give this a pass. Sounds like the smart thing to do, for the good of my very few remaining brain cells.

His style is a bit..clinical. Relationship with Hermione seems like a forced deal between business partners with contract. Constantly dissecting magical world and it's structure becomes annoying, and with all these super powers there are very little action.

P.S. It is only me, or he uses word 'admitted' every 2-3 sentences?

Meh, I figured better have all 4 fics in one place, then split them up needlessly. No one's forcing you to discuss the 'bad' one; simply ignore it and leave the title for reference purposes.

Triwizard Redux was horrible. The Pairing H/Hr was forced, too fast and just plain bad.

    1/5

Re-Ordered Series was diffrent. The first chapter was pretty good, if not a bit too fast. But that's just me. The second chapter... well, I didn't like it. What has this author with Hermione? A quick death of her and both fics would be much better...

    3/5, but it's going down-hill.

DrT's stories, I find aren't all that. At the best of times, they're an okay read, but nothing noteworthy. At the worst of times, they're just plain ridiculous.

    2/5 for both.

Harry Hermy? UGH! No! Just no...I'm sorry, but that pairing will NEVER work...and Hermy isn't all that pretty either and is waaaay too bossy. She'd go to the authorities first and put friendship second...any story with Harry/Hermy just totally ruins it for me. If there's that pairing in ANY story, no matter how good it is, there's no way in the 9 levels of hell I am reading that story, that pairing is just totally wrong. Anyone else I can read, such as him with Blaise (female), or Padma Patil or something, or maybe Susan, but Herms? Uh uh, no way, not a chance in hell. At first when I started reading stories at Fanfiction, I wanted to read nothin' but Harry/Ginny stories, but after I while, I wanted to read something else other than that. So I started searching for Harry/Tonks, Harry/Bella, Harry/Narcissa, him with either Padma, Bones, Parvarti, Lisa Turpin, Cho Chang, Su Li or maybe even Luna, or some other somewhat unknown character. Anyway...as I said...Harry and Herms, that relationship will never work, no matter HOW the authors write it out, I'm sorry, but that pairing just makes me wanna throw up.

    Richard.
