    Just by the sounds of it, it might be a SmitFraud. It acts as a friendly program and warns you of 'other' viruses, which only it can remove for an easy sum of $29.95.

    There are idiots who actually fall for it.

    Look for a freeware program on google called SmitFraud Fix. It's free, easy to use, and will hopefully solve your problems.
