Please note that the author has not updated this since 2-21-04, but is still writing and has listed that he will finish Two out of Time once he completes his other works. Also note that chapter 5 for soem reason cuts off abruptly.

I’m not rating this, because I’m not reading this. One thing bugs me, however.

Aren’t there procedures? Shouldn’t you have your pen taken away or your fingers broken? Committing this phrase to .txt should be punishable.

 

The writing isn't too bad, so I'm not going to flame... but it's a Mega Man crossover. Mega Man. You know, with beam arms and swords and shit? Doesn't mix with Harry Potter. At all. Try again motherfucker.

the writing really isnt all that bad but come on now mega man??? how do you really see that working out. what is harry going to come back with a cannon as an arm and finish volemort with it. find another direction for the writer to go because this one is dead. and the revewrs on ffn are sick for the fact that they like it.

 

It's actually not that bad. Definitely an interesting idea for a crossover. One of the more unique ones I've read. So thanks funkytoad for bringing it to my attention. As for the rest of you, you guys need to stop obsessing over the strangeness of the crossover. As for Harry, It might be interesting if he never returned to the past. Unfortunately this fic is abandoned, shame since it is unique if nothing else.

 

I'm surprised at so many people giving up on this fic because of the crossover but rather that it has not been updated in four years. Though I'll admit the battle on the train could have been written better, it serves as a necessary plot device.

The idea has merit, but is incredibly slow with the action. The details and angst are a little bit much, but both are plausible. I'm not sure if the H/Hr ship will sail in this fic, but it will certainly focus on their relationship, platonic or otherwise. The main gripe I have with this fic is the view point shifting so much throughout the story. 3rd person omniscient is a trick and a half to write, and this author is not quite there yet.

The writing in of itself, gets 4/5. Since it hasn't been updated in four years, 3.5/5.

 

...Which is the same thing as 4/5.

Anyway, I suspect that people aren't bashing it because of it not being updated, is because they really just don't care if it's updated or not.

If the premise of the story is horrible, not many people are even going to read it, much less care about the update speed.

 

This thread reminded me of of AMV Hell, and then I laughed at all the funny flames.

I wont give a rating to something I haven't read because it's arrogant to discredit someone else's work like that. However it's probably a good idea to not read this. It's not a crack fic and it's written with a serious attitude with out even a bit of humor.

 

I just read the first two chapters and I have to say its a pretty good premise before it actually gets to the xover part. The 'relationship' between the trio is nice and steady. Sure, there are a couple of little scenes that could be edited a bit by I assure you I have seen worse pieces of fiction writing worshiped.

When I get the guts up Ill read the next chapters.

...and the bunch of you that wont read it simply because of the cannons and then insist on flaming the very idea need to be rolled around to a bunch of people in an insane asylum given essays to right.

Remember, once upon a time-that-actually-happened, people thought the very idea that the world was not flat was absolutly ludicrous.

Okay, I just finished reading all five chapters. It is true that the very end cuts off annoyingly.

Unfortunatly for me, I remember nothing about what it is crossed with. So I am half reading this like it is an OC world.

It's pretty good really. The characters are strong and the things are pretty realistic considering. The cliche of getting sent to a new world is there but it isn't a place where another Harry Potter exists or even just an Alternate Universe. Maybe it's time travel? There is some humor, some angst, some drama, and thoughts from different characters. All you bashers should give it a try.

4/5 for what is there to be truthful. I am even tempted to give it a 9/10 for originality and the well-written words on the pages. Truly. Give it a chance. It's most definetly not the best work I've seen and the date it was last updated makes me flinch, but I could read more.

..and if/when it is updated, someone should make a notation on the page or something...
