Yeah, Fukurou is really powerful now. Pretty much overpowered. But I'm still enjoying the tale. If he keeps telling it well, I'll keep reading. Anyway, I would wager that Madara is still stronger than Fukurou, and Akatsuki is a more powerful 'resource' than Root. So if Madara is the archvillain, there's still plenty of room for an epic challenge and struggle.

I don't know if I'd quite call him overpowered just yet. What he did to Danzo used the Sharingan implant he had, and to our knowledge there's only one other person in the series like that.

He does have all of Danzo's knowledge, but he doesn't have the experience of using the techniques he's just gained yet. Root would be useful against a 'normal' foe, but you can't exactly classify Akatsuki as normal.

I reckon Sandaime/Kakashi/Gai could smack him around like a red headed step child too, as well people weaker than them who'd give Fukurou a run for his money.

The seals seemed a bit too Deus Ex Machina but it could have been much worse. I hope someone does give him a good smackdown eventually.

What I really want to know is what the hell happened to the villagers that were portkeyed away, especially since Fukurou was unconscious/immobile for 3 days right? They just kinda hid inside the fidelus charm that they have no clue about? Or did they just walked back out and go "Oh shit, our clan got massacred." Perhaps if Mikoto managed to escape and lead them, everything would be fine. But otherwise, it may either just be a plot hole I'm overthinking or hopefully he would cover it next chapter.

The timings of the scenes in the latest chapter confused me a little too, but the final scene with Sarutobi seems to be either immediately after or the morning after the massacre, so with Fukurou being unconscious for three days there must be a gap of almost three days between his escape from the northern Root facility and the massacre.

^ Looks like that's what happened.

So he managed to recreate portkeys. Pretty good all round. Last chapter showed that Harry can be subdued with a good plan, that he has a ways to go before he becomes something similar to the powerful wizard he was. At the same time, he is a 150 year old wizard with more experience than anyone alive and that is showcased in the careful preparations he made to protect himself and his eyes and in the way he defeated Danzo.

Good stuff. Can't believe I'm actually looking forward to the updates for a HP/Naruto crossover fic.

It's good stuff and I'm also looking forward to more, but even taking everything into consideration (and it's a lot), Harry/Fukurou still feels like he's a bit too OP. Portkeys/Seals that can activate when the wearer is in danger, even if they don't know it yet like it apparently worked for some of the Genin? That's just one example, though it did seem to stand out.

    Good stuff though, good stuff.

^To be fair, we still don't know the exact limits of Fuinjutsu (sp?) For all we know, this sort of thing - activating automatically in a certain situation, not portkeys - might actually be possible.

Yeah, this fic is enjoyable. Though it could benefit from more telling and less showing. But still, I like how it's going and it keeps from getting tedious. The regular updates are another plus. Also, Danzo is dead, and this is one of the few fics where Sarutobi is actually shown to get upset with his former team mates and they seem to actually repect him as a Hokage. In most fics it read like they have as much, if not more, power than the Hokage as his advisors.

This whole last chapter just seemed way too convenient.

Everything went his way, and it was all hand-waved with the flashback at the beginning of the chapter. I enjoy the story, but the convenience of how it all played out seemed to take some of the "oomph" out of it for me.

While I could appreciate Harry being prepared for eventualities like this, his preparations were almost tailored to the situation, and for me, the thing that screamed Deus Ex Machina was the fact that there was not a single mention of this protection. If there was even one throwaway line saying 'he worked on personal protection seals as well as fidelius' then I would have been happier, but that he just pulled them out of his ass just in time for them to be needed made me rage a little.

Eh, becoming less interested in the story as Fukurou just powers through. Seriously, taking full control of Root? How does that make sense. His abilities were never enough to fully control large amounts of people at all times. More arbitrary levelling. Sigh.

And I didn't even believe for a second that they might've taken his eye. Is it just me? This fic doesn't seem to be as interesting as it was when I first read it.

I agree. The whole taking control of the root thing was just strange. Why would they follow Fukurou just because Danzo is dead? Shouldn't they be loyal to a fault, and just try to kill him instead? Or is it that they know they are no match for him at present stage, and plans to assassinate him o,o That would be interesting :p

Madara controlled the Yondaime Mizukage, a Jinchuuriki. Logically speaking it sould be harder for someone to control something like that. And maybe he just made a minor adjustment or something. As the Root were trained as tools, as such they stayed that way. They might still be thinking that he is Danzou, in their mind.

Also Shisui's eye was exactly like Fukurou/Harry, making mental suggestions. Otherwise I think it's more about the strenght of the sharingan. I don't see Fukurou/Harry controlling Madara(Eternal Sharingan) anytime soon, even with the Legilimency

What happens when Harry faces up against a Tsukuyomi (shielding against it with occlumency or having it break through anyway) will be the most telling feature of whether Harry is a Gary Stu or not.

Harry has the Mangekyou Sharingan though, and I don't think we've seen what happens when one Mangekyou user tries to trap another with Tsukuyomi. And Sasuke managed to break Itachi's Tsukuyomi with just a normal Sharingan so it's hardly a 'Stu tell'.

First, to all of you who are shouting about Fukurou being too powerful, he is 150 old wizard in body of 13 years old Uchiha, who are great genetic shinobi clan. It's perfectly normal for him to be more powerful then for example Itachi, in areas like Genjutsu etc. Because his mental abilities far surpass Itachi's, and almost all characters. Excluding his high chakra storage and its control, which also can be attributed to his previous life. All his physical aspects are almost equal to normal Uchiha his age, i.e. Sasuke at age 13 is almost equal to Fukurou also at age 13.
I also see that many of you missed the fact, that despite "Master of Death" being mentioned few times, one of his seal is identical to symbol of Deathly Hallows:
About Aekiel question, Fukurou also have MS, it was said in manga that Itachi Tsukuyomi was greater than Sasuke. It's probably from aspect of Itachi's genjutsu skill being better than Sasuke. Fukurou genjutsu skills are even better than Itachi, at least they were 3 years ago. So in Tsukuyomi duel Itachi is rather on lost position.

I noticed that at the time, but failed to recall it later. Pretty cool though.

Anyway, time to rate... I'd give it a 4/5. It's not the most exciting story of all time and the prose is a bit dry, but it's held my interest and hasn't fell into any of the major pitfalls of HP/Naruto crossovers yet.

4/5 as well. I agree with Aekiel, there is just something missing it. Because of it it comes of as a bit dry. And there should be more interactions between Mikoto and Fukurou/Harry.

I am not normally one to read about romance stuff, but the writer made Mikoto a main character, as such she should be one.

I'd rate it at a 3/5. An interesting concept that doesn't fall into any cliches gets you the baseline 'good' rating, but the writing is dry and no real innovation here. This story just lacks a spark of brilliance, and while Its definitely good enough to read, there are better fics out there.

The story lacks heart. There's no real character development and I never felt invested in the characters. I could not care less what happens to Konoha, nor to the Uchiha clan.

Harry is similarly distant to all of the other characters. He makes observations about his fellow clan members and team mates, but never seems to form any real relationships with any of them. Even Mikoto, who he's arguably closest to, is never shown to be much more than a favoured teacher.

Harry didn't become a successful politician and happy family man by being so closed off and distant. A certain amount of that is inevitable given Harry's remembered previous life, but he should have become more accepting of his new world by now. Sadly, I can't see things changing much. Becoming the head of Root isn't going to improve Harry's social disposition.

    It's ultimately unsatisfying.
