    Wait...upon re-reading this...

What on earth is an idealogical language?

Lol, I can see what was meant by the author's note at the end.

Unless I miss my guess, it's a language that uses symbols or characters to convey ideas.

I'll let someone better than I am at English debate the spelling.

I absolutely loved this story; it's a great deal darker, but much more fitting. Opening the Pandora's Box should never be done by the "light", and Harry's ruminations reflect that perfectly.

    5/5 for superior execution

    Idealogical:

1 : a systematic body of concepts especially about human life or culture
2 : a manner or the content of thinking characteristic of an individual, group, or culture

    From dictionary.com

The idea of an ideological language seems a bit meaningless to me :)

This fic wins. The diary thing is brilliant. Also, I checked out the author's profile, and aside from some unfortunate H/G tendencies, she seems like she'd feel right at home here.

I very much liked this story. When I read the reviews for it the first time here, I didn't think I'd like it, but then I decided last night to read it. It wasn't what I thought it'd be. It was a very good story. Too bad its only a one-shot! 5/5 for me.

    This is a great start.
I love the way Harry's genius is shown.

Taure: I suppose an ideological language would be written in the jargon and ideas in keeping with an ideology, that relate to one another to form a coherent thought.

Yes, sort of - but in the opposite direction. Instead of lessening shades of grey and meaning, it would probably add far more, with specific aspects taken from the ideology.

I also greatly enjoyed this story. The boggart scene especially was exceptional.

I'm pretty sure the word the author was looking for was ideogram or ideograph--the term used to refer to Chinese writing and hieroglyphics.

Personally, from that paragraph I was a bit more intrigued by the idea of a boggart in it's natural form. I've never seen a fic where anyone makes an effort to discover this.

It's just too bad it's a one-shot, I suppose. I'd love to see it extended, to me it has a lot of potential.

There was a fic where they mentioned a boggart's natural form. Harry used Occlumency to keep the boggart from reading his fears and, since he was alone with the boggart, all it could do was remain in its natural form. I think it was justa ball of light or something...
It may or may not have been the same story where Harry used Legilimency to project thoughts at the boggart, convincing the creature that those were his fears. Thus he had the boggart doing things like taking the shape of Hermione taking a shower... :D

    Now this was great.

Mad!Genius!Scientist!Harry. Quite an refreshing take on the HP-Universe.

Too bad it is just an one-shot.

I just don´t know why you guys think the ordeal in his first potion class was so great. The whole make-Snape-mad-with-your-knowledge-of-potions-scenario is so overused in Fanfiction, that nearly every story in the fandom uses this. And I have seen this done many times better, but still ... it irks me that all of the writers make Snape blow up, after Harry reveals some knowledge of Potions. A better thing for him to do could be to tell Harry to brew one of those potions he quizzed about in the next class.

What I think the best scene in this story is?

The Mirror of Erised: Nothing is Impossible

    That was done great.

    5/5

This was a lovely one-shot, I just wish the author had written more in this universe. We need more Scientist!Harry.

I hadn't read this before, and am now glad that I have. This is definitely one of my favorite types of Harry Potter. I found his complete lack of morality, and not flawed morality, to be one of the most entertaining parts of this story. Then ending however was slightly disappointing. Although I liked the fact that he made the deal with Voldemort, I couldn't help but want more. If anyone knows where I can find other Logical/Scientist!Harry Potter fics I'd like to know where they are.
