So in order to be fair to you I looked up what the Impure World Technique is, me not being a fan of anime. This may be more down to my boredom than my fairness, but it has the same effect.

The first result I come across describes it as being a "technique used to revive the dead".

So...necromancy, cause we've never had that hinted at in canon, and we've certainly never seen that in fanon. I think its an excellent idea, I reckon someone should write a fic with Harry as a powerful necromancer...Think of all the cool stuff he could do...

Voldemort as necromancer is downright fanon, and Harry as necromancer is a usually bad cliché.

Well, I believe calling it an absolutely terrible idea is a bit much. Sure, as it's suggested in the OP it doesn't sound readable...

But it's not the idea that matters so much as the quality of the writer, and the spin he puts on the idea. Rarely is anything actually original written. I seem to recall at least one excellent story in WBA in which Harry was a Necromancer of some sort.

Note to Ocho: Perhaps using a comparison to Naruto wasn't the best way to start off your thread. Next time search around a bit before you toss up a thread, there are some Necromancer Harry stories. They are not usually written well at all though.
