The only reason Craig isn't my favorite is Connery's performance in From Russia With Love which is also my favorite Bond Novel.

Craig's a fine bond. What really sealed it for me was the torture scene in his first movie. The comedy in that tense scene seemed perfectly bond but didn't have any cheesy lasers or sharks.

Yes, but not as suave as Roger Moore or Pierce Brosnon. Sean Connery portrayed a guy who came up from nothing and became a spy after a stint in the British Royal Navy, Roger Moore and Pierce Brosnon felt, to me, like they had come from old money and were used to getting what they wanted.

Also, you're being unfair to Daniel Craig. Comparing him, in any way, to the previous Bonds is doing him a disservice because of the shoes he has to fill. Why can't he showcase Bond on his own merits?

On that same token, it made for a pretty decent game, as well.

I prefer Craig to the last few Bonds, not necessarily because of his acting, but because there's much less ridiculous shit like invisible cars and whatnot. That said Connery is still the best, by far.

That looks terribly confusing, but also confusingly awesome. I think it could go either way.

That seems like a trailer for three or four different movies.

I just watched the whole 5 minute trailer, and I haven't got a single clue what the film is about.

I imagine it will progress much like Burton's 'Big Fish' did, with short glimpses into smaller stories with one central plotline to unify them.

Not exactly. This film consist of six nested stories where the previous one turns out to be read by the main character of the next.

Well, that trailer doesn't exactly make me want to see Cloud Atlas.

However, it does make me want to read the book.

At a glance, this reminds me of Mr. Nobody, which was fucking magical, but the Wachowski brothers don't really seem the type for anything subtle.

Christ, you ARE a woman. Any man with working balls can see Craig is the most bad-ass and most believable (which isn't very) Bond, period.

And yeah, I include Connery in that statement, despite how much nostalgic love I have for the old bastard.

    FUCKING LOL

I think my list of best and most memorable Bonds proceeds as such, from best to worst:

    1. Connery -- He's the best, but if Skyfall becomes the phenomenon I'm expecting it to be, I'll concede that Craig and Connery are equally memorable.
    2. Dalton -- The only reason I put Dalton above the Craig incarnation (for now) is because he was equal parts ladykiller and badass, whereas Craig sits on the heavy end of badass
    3. Craig -- Combine all the best parts of Brosnan, Moore, and Lazenby and you still don't have a Bond as charismatic as Craig
    4. Brosnan --I only chart Brosnan ahead of Moore because he was the bond I grew up watching. Along with Goldfinger and From Russia With Love, Goldeneye is in my top three favorite Bond films. On the other hand, The World is Not Enough and Die Another Day rank as the worst.
    5. Moore -- Phoned in most of his performances.
    6. Lazenby -- He only made one movie, and he was arguably the worst part of that movie, so I can't rank him higher.

Craig is the only Bond who has ever shown any kind of real emotion, or believable reaction to the situations he finds himself in.

He also brings a certain raw brutality to the role which makes it even more awesome when he goes balls to the wall.

That was a 5:30 minute trailer that gave me little to no idea what the movie was about. Something tells me it will be horrendously long, tedious, and confusing.

It's a movie about the human condition... by the Wachowskis... so of course it's going to be tedious and confusing. But that doesn't necessarily mean it will be a bad movie. Take Donnie Darko and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Both are legitimately great movies, but they're also confusing as fuck and relatively boring until the climax that makes you do a double-take.

Oh god, that looked shit. Red Dawn does not need a remake.

And the premise is utter crap anyway.
