I don't think I've ever wanted to see any other movie more than I do this one, I mean I can't really think of anything more you could want from a movie.

That was such a weird trailer.

    The enemy's gate is down!

    First trailer for Ender's Game.

Kinda excited, but not really enough shown to decide whether this is going to be great, or flop.

    That looks great!

Though I wonder why they put that last bit in the trailer. It's like the biggest spoiler ever, but eh, I think most people haven't read the book, so it's not really a big deal. And I think there are some things that still missing. Where are Demosthenes and Locke? Where are Ender's parents? Is that really Valentine, in the lake scene?

I hope they don't mess up.

The final scene is being rationalized as "Well, not everyone has read the books so it doesn't really matter." I don't know if I agree with it, but we'll see.

As for Demosthenes and Locke? They aren't in the movie. They had to cut it, saying that the movie would be 4 hours if they included all of that. From what I've heard, at least.

It seems Asa Butterfield (Ender) is going to be doing an AMA in the morning on Reddit. He says he won't on his Twitter, but in the trailer thread he said he'd like to do a dedicated one.

https://twitter.com/asabfb will probably have the info about when it's going to happen.

One thing I didn't see in the trailer that I hope is in the movie:
The video game with the giant, where Ender dies over and over again. It's a pretty vivid scene, and it's an awesome insight into Ender's head. It could be fun to see it on the big screen, plus it would look to different to all the generic sci-fi space fight stuff you mostly saw in the trailer.

The World's End trailer finally came out

Looks great, differing enough from the previous 2 in the Cornetto trilogy but similiar to bring a few memories back. Simon Pegg looks rather bizarre with black, slicked hair though.

Shaun of the Dead was good and I loved Hot Fuzz. I didn't know they were making a third film, so happy day!

Ask Me Anything by Asa Butterfield just started, if you wanted to ask any questions about Ender's Game or just get more info in general. :D

I just got back from an early showing of Star Trek: Into Darkness in Imax 3D. It is fairly good. It has some flaws, mostly in the science, mythos, and a couple plot issues but overall worth the price of admission.

    I'll give it a B+ to a B.

Man of Steel and Ender's Game were previews and they looked excellent.

Yeah, I saw Star Trek at the weekend, and while I did enjoy it, the last half hour or so really let it down for me (don't read if you've not seen it. Not even slightly).

I get now that it's basically a remake/reboot of Wrath of Khan, but getting their ending by just flipping the ending of that film seemed like really lazy writing to me. Plus the emotion just wasn't there; because they'd set up that Khan's blood could heal Kirk even potentially after death, there was no sense of "Are they actually doing this?" even aside from the meta "No way they're going to kill Kirk off yet".

Still, for the most part it was great fun, and the cast really spark off each other. I'd recommend it, but it's not a must see.

He did go on to say in that Daily Show that once he started making it, he fell in love with the characters and universe. So... meh.

    Trailer for Riddick.

I'm not a diehard Riddick fan, although I've seen both the films, and enjoyed them, but this does look pretty fun. The only thing is, as far as you can see from the trailer it's basically a remake of Pitch Black. Not necessarily a bad thing, but I'm a little disappointed there doesn't seem to be anything of Chronicles left in it.

There will be, he was abandoned there by the Necromongers and I know Karl Urban is back as Lord Vaako and so is the chick that played his wife in a big way.

Honestly, it looks pretty terrible. And I enjoyed the last two as well.

I hope the trailer isn't as much of a plot summary as it looks like.

So yeah, saw the new Star Trek movie, and I can say this: this movie is fucking awful despite the actors.

My review is here, with spoilers clearly marked, but if you want the short version, it's shameless, worthless dreck. Do not see it and give Abrams any of your money.
