That's exactly why I liked Pitch Black so much. It's one of my favorite B-movies. I'm not ashamed to admit that I even enjoyed Chronicles, Necromonkeys and all.

I wasn't expecting great cinema, not by a long shot. But this rehash, complete with its awkward attempt at humor and its really tasteless romance trope, just fell flat.

I went to see The Mortal Instruments today. It was slightly worse than I was expecting, although equally, slightly more entertaining in an awful kind of way. More wooden acting from the guy than the entire Twilight series.

You reminded me of this. Whole video is great but I shortened it to the relative part.

So Riddick came outr here in Germany... Entertaining movie but it is a bit like a light Version of the first one. Still it looked good and the action scenes were ok and it certainly showed that you don´t need a high budget to make a good movie.

Ah, In my opinion the lesbian did not fall for him...I interpreted their interaction as friendly banter. Not that it really matters.

Com'on- Riddick came, saw, conquered. And came again. If you don't interpret this most badass of characters as following through with everything he said then you aren't enjoying the film to its fullest extent.

Am I the only one who saw Riddick who ended up being totally caught off guard when they realized THE ENTIRE MOVIE took place on that planet? I swear, I thought he was going to escape within the first twenty minutes and that the movie would be about something totally different...then an hour went by and I was like, well damn that sucks...

Well it was well known that they tried to emulate the first movie and so I wasn´t surprised by that.

I was actually surprised how good it was considering the genre. I particularly liked the reaction to the huge bear traps. :O_O:

It is sad... this films tries so hard at being a modern thriller and yet fails at nearly everything. In fact I can´t of anything that this movie executed well.

    Two Guns
A typical Action movie with some great scenes and the interaction between the two is really funny. It doesn´t event the wheel new but it entertains? It is a great movie to watch with a group of friends or even your girlfriend/significant other.

Watched Catching Fire yesterday, and I thought it was very well-crafted. A rare example of the movie being better than the book.

Yeah can only second that... Never really liked the books (mostly because I read Battle Royale much earlier and couldn´t stop comparing them) but love the movies. They simply look beautiful, bombastic and the actor of Kat really impresses me with how well she portrays her. The plot is also better than in most other movies.

Didn't read the books but Catching fire was one of the better movies of 2013 IMHO. Altought love triangle thingy did bother me some.

47 Ronin looks to be a decent movie, even with Keanu Reeves, anyone else looking to see it besides me?
