Went to see Warm Bodies yesterday; it's really good. Very funny throughout, well acted, and even the romance isn't too bad. The final act of the film could have done with a bit more fleshing out, with a lot happening quite quickly and more characters coming into focus, but it's well worth seeing.

    Bringing in some foreign flair:
    The Monkey King
    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1717715/

Based on Journey to the West. I still remember watching old Chinese cartoons of this epic story, and I'm hoping a movie budget will do it even more justice. It's the first of a trilogy.

    ---

    The Internship
    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2234155/

I don't like the premise. I don't like either Owen Wilson or Vince Vaughn. But the trailer is hilarious. Watch it for the last Xavier joke even if you don't care for the movie itself.

    ---

Has The Great Gatsby been mentioned? It's based on one of my favorite books, and the movie has a stellar cast, but what's up with all the delays?

Just saw Oz the Great and Powerful. Was very enjoyable, had some great humour, but some parts...those feels, man. Those feels.

You'll probably guess how things work out thirty odd minutes into the film if you're paying attention, but it doesn't detract from the enjoyment. Franco does a good job as Oz, and the climax of it all is just fantastic. Bruce Campbell also makes an amusing cameo.

That said, I was reminded of my hatred for evil maniacal laughter for no good reason at several points.

If you're critical of 'weak' storytelling, there are some irritating bits, but they aren't too common. That's about my only complaint about the film.

    Definitely something to go see.

I don't know about you guys, but I am looking forward to Brad Pitt's World War Z and I'd be really disappointed if it turns out to be another 'zombie' apocalypse movie.

And the movie OZ was great. I really enjoyed it.

Bleh, hated Oz. Everything happened far too quick. I didn't even know the names of half the people in the little family group at the end there. Oz was all "We can be your family now" and I was just sitting there wondering how they'd become that close in like two days.

    I saw Oz last night.

It was, IMO, average. Just didn't carry the charm of the original movie. Nice visuals, predictable but not terrible plot, and a so-so cast.

The chick playing Glinda nailed it. Franco was okay, although he could have done the whole cowardly con-man act better. Kunis was probably the weakest part of the movie, which is sad because I generally like what she does. I probably would have enjoyed things a bit more if she and Weiss had swapped roles.

It's worth the price of admission, but you probably won't be wowed

I can't wait for Thor 2 and Iron Man 3 honestly. I know Thor got a bit of hate but I genuinely loved it, as for Iron Man 3, well who doesn't like Tony Stark.

Coming sooner though, I want to see The Incredible Burt Wonderstone, as sad as that may sound. Also, Man of Steel, I can't wait to see Zack Snyder's approach to Superman.

Just finished watching the stream of Olympus Has Fallen. Was actually pretty good, even though a tad bit unrealistic. Wasn't expecting that. This movie was actually what I expected from Die Hard 5. Complete with the unexpected Humor and all. All in all, a decent action movie.

But at the risk of sounding like a conspiracy theorist, holy flying fuck. Was this movie designed to incite shit against NK?
Cause really, within the current atmosphere, this movie looks like its designed to incite hatred against North Korea amongst the easily influenced. Who unfortunately, in the matter of North Korea, are incredibly many.

I will embrace that age old tradition of putting aside my disdain for Card and his assholery just long enough to throw my money at him.

Like we did with Red Dawn? The first one was aimed against any communist, and the new one is against NK. They do that shit all the time against foreign countries we are semi against in media. Video games and movies are the main "propaganda" used.

I doubt it will incite anyone near enough to attack, but it does add some fuel to the flame I guess.

    Look what I found.
    Riddick Releasing in September 2013.

While I hated the second movie in this series, I'm looking forward to this one.

So, Wolverine trailer. Rather snuck up on me, tbh. Completely forget that was in the making.

So, just saw 'Spring Breakers'. Holy fucking shit.

You all need to see this movie. It's not just fucking incredible, it's important, and inspired something of a review/essay from me on the subject.

It's going to be one of the best films of the year, guaranteed - see this fucking movie.

Interesting, though I think you're speaking for a few too many people in that review, Silens. Depression is hardly a generation-wide thing.

Silens; yours is the second review that I have read that explains such, and I must admit my confusion. I'm technically within the generation they are refering to, but I don't get the apathy, the pointlessness, the insurmountability of the wall in front. I don't know if its because I'm actually quite happy with my career path, or something else.
So what I want to know is: What is the wall that seems to surround this generation, what is the morass they have to break through to find meaning?
