Iron Man 3 was greatly enjoyable. Surprisingly high levels of humour in it. Bit different to the previous two. Some very cool moments. Ben Kingsley made this movie. Stan Lee cameo was amusing, if not on the level of the Amazing Spiderman one.

    Go see it.

Wait, what? Joss Whedon doing Shakespeare!? I never thought I'd ever be looking forward to a bored-out-of-my-skull Shakespearian film, but that trailer looks damn good. Half of my excitement is seeing the usual Whedon cast members taking up these unexpected roles. It's full of such style and drama that I can't wait to see it.

That looks no more exciting than Kenneth Branagh's Much Ado About Nothing: A Sexy Comedy by Kenneth Branagh (Directed by Kenneth Branagh -- Starring Kenneth Branagh)

Saw Iron Man 3 today. Awesome stuff. Funny all round. The fight at the end was pretty good.

Oh, and Mandarin is the best villain of all time.

Saw Iron Man 3 yesterday. Was pretty fun, definitely had a more jovial feel than the earlier ones. Story-wise it wasn't the greatest (and I'd probably rate Iron Man 2 higher in this regard), but the acting, fight scenes and character interactions really carried the movie.

I saw Iron Man 3 the night it came out on a whim, loved all of it, plot was fun, characters were good (Manderin best Villian ever) and it left things open for Avengers 2.

There's a thread for Iron Man 3 where you can post just how much you loved (Insert Potential Spoiler Here). It's not this one. Please. Stop killing me. I beg you.

Also, this movie seems fairly interesting. I'm not a huge fan of Jesse Eisenberg, but I like Mark Ruffalo and the plot seems pretty whimsical.

Plus: Morgan Freeman and Woody Harrelson

So, since Iron Man III doesn't come out until next week, I saw Michael Bay's new movie Pain & Gain and reviewed it here. My verdict?

Well, it's a definite return to form by Michael Bay, and while I can't say it entirely works all the way, it's surprisingly pretty damn good and I liked it. Also, surprisingly similar film to Fight Club - see the movie, you'll understand.

Second trailer for Pacific Rim. I like it better than the first one, and though maybe the story will fail, the visuals alone looks great for me. Really hooked, can't wait for July to come.

As soon as I saw that boat scene, my mind was calling bullshit on it. The cargo vessel would collapse under the strain of gravity and Newton's laws; just fold over like wielding a stick of exceedingly limp celery.

I get that it's "cool", but it's also very stupid.

Dude, Giant fucking alien sea monsters are fighting with Giant asskicking robots that are controlled by human mind and you are complaining about a boat?

Yeah, I know. But I work closely with cargo vessels, and eye ball engineering estimates is a big part of my day-to-day job, so it really sticks out.

I can accept the greater suspensions of disbelief, such as aliens, robots, etc. easily for a story, so long as they can get some of the smaller things right, like Newton's laws. I can enjoy a story about wizards, prophecies, and magic, but if the author cocks up something minor, like Hermione's name or having Harry study Chinese martial arts in a Japanese dojo [to cite a recent example] these relatively tiny things - in comparison to freaking magic - will break immersion and bring me out of the story.

The same goes for wielding a cargo vessel like a wooden bat.

Honestly, I have more issues with the fact that the monsters just appear to be enlarged dinosaurs.

Seriously, I saw a triceratops and a pterodactyl in there I'm pretty sure.

Do rooms suddenly empty out when you mention wanting to go see a movie?

The giant aliens and robots are explained in-universe, presumably. But unless a reason is given for the boat to not break like it should, it's still unrealistic.

I'm not saying it's going to make or break the movie, but just glossing over stuff like that is still lazy and shouldn't be encouraged.

Agreed. This is especially true for me, cause you know, that's the difference between Hollywood and Bollywood. Physics.

If I want to see an action scene which makes no sense or just plain wtf!action (watch this in full please), I'll stick to Bollywood.

Its a slippery slope from Hollywood to Bollywood mate. It starts with people ignoring some simple laws of physics.

Why have I been wasting my life watching other movies, when I could be watching these?

Also the last one doesn't work for me.

Just for you Bill Door, The Bollywood Horse Slide.
If that link doesn't work either, same video with Guile Theme. And one with Bond theme, which is actually good since its an edited version.

And I will derail this thread no more.

On a side note, for those of you who actually do watch Bollywood movies ( Even if that count is in single digits), Special 26 or Special chabbis is pretty good. Even if you're watching it using Subtitles.
