Only because Logan got to have more facetime because he could butt into Avengers, Spiderman, Fantastic Four, SHIELD, and Captain America shit at any time. He got to have cool adventures while everybody else was stuck back at Xaviers wanking it alone in a toilet listening to emo music about how misunderstood you are and how your lover left you. This isn't really a strategy that translates well to the movieverse on account of people bitching constantly over IP rights to the point that Spiderman STILL has yet to cameo even indirectly in an Avengers production.

Granted, I'm pretty sure if you gave Scott a choice between having fun adventures and wanking it alone in a toilet listening to emo music about how misunderstood you are and how your lover left you, I'm pretty sure he'd go with the latter every time, but it's not his fault everyone writes him as a massive fucking vagina.

When was the last time you read X-Men comics? Because post-Whedon Scott is written as more badass than Wolverine.

Well, if we count Whedon's Astonishing X-Men as the starting point, they are trying to make Scott cool for a decade now. Or to make him a psychopath depending on your take on it.

Changing subject to something more fitting this thread. The next week's big premiere is Maleficent, but for some reason I predict a big miss for Disney with that one though maybe not John Carter/The Lone Ranger big.

That comic above you describes him perfectly, at least up until recent years. And no, Jean never really gets with Logan in 616. She does for a bit in Ultimate I think.

The only decent Scott is Max Wittert's fancomic Scott. His Scott and Jean comic is the most enjoyment I've gotten from the original x-men in years.

It should. We're basically in an abusive relationship with most comic publishers these days. They keep yelling at us and stealing money out of the desk that's supposed to be used for groceries and bills, we keep trying to leave but end up shuffling back because we're sure they'll come around eventually, and that the good old days will be here again soon.

All New Ghost Rider, New Warriors, All New Ms. Marvel, Smallville S11 and X-Factor v3 are the only comics I can stand to read at the moment because they're the only ones who seem to remember comic books are supposed to be fun anymore.

Yes, I'd like to see Superman wear his Superman Blue suit to steal everyone in the world's speed to fight Black Racer head on because he threatened Impulse. Or mutants being flat out heroic or a socially retarded fanfic writer trying to hide her superpowers from her friends and family. Rather than another hero vs. hero event where everyone acts like assholes.

 

That's bad, that's real bad. The only comics I read now after trying Civil War and Batman comics are Graphic Novels with definite ending and webccomics.

I wanted to watch Godzilla, but nobody else wanted, so it seems we're going to see Neighbours, is it at least okay? (my friends have horrible taste, they loved Jonah Hex, Solomon Kane and all Transformers, oh and thought Grown Ups was one of the funniest movies ever. I'm dead serious.)

 

Cyclops is the only X-Man I can even remotely tolerate.

I saw the new X-Men movie last night. IMO, it was the best of them all- although to be fair I can't really remember X1 and X2 that well and I never saw either of the Wolverine movies.

I really liked Mystique and Quicksilver, especially Quicksilver. Both of my favorite moments were Quicksilver scenes, the one where he stops the bullets and the last one where he's watching Magneto on TV and his face is just "What have I done?".

Really, the most questionable thing to me was my favorite X-Men, Kitty Pryde, suddenly gaining time powers. Maybe I'm missing something that was in a comic, but since when can she do that?

 

Note my wording. It's not that I particularly like Scott, it's just that I hate everyone else that much more.
