X-Men: Days of Future Past Teaser was released. Nothing from the actual movie, but its a cool little commercial that I could see a real company doing.

 

Don't really think this deserves a thread of it's own, but Roland Emmerich plans to reboot 'Stargate' as a film trilogy.

Well, maybe not in 2014, but yeah. I'm excited. I thought Stargate was absolutely amazing as a concept, but execution was rusty a lot of the time.

Still, this could be really cool.

 

I don't know if I could get into Stargate without Richard Anderson.

 

I actually thought Atlantis was very good.

 

No, please, just no.

I've been waiting a long time to finally see that teaser.

 

And its gone.

 

Got a glimpse of the Godzilla teaser on the joe rogan podcast. I do enjoy the tone it sets. Only a voice over though.

Guardians of The Galaxy teaser from SDCC record on a camera phone. Unless they already took it down.

Not bad for just a month of production.

 

I love the Nova Corps, and I love John C. Reilly. So this movie will be amazing.

 

I saw that recorded video a couple months ago on some shifty Russian website. I don't have any experience with the Guardians of the Galaxy or this whole side of Marvel really, so I'm going in without many expectations this time. Looks interesting though.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier Trailer.

I really liked the first Captain movie. Arguably it was the best strictly super-hero movie of the Phase One, not to mention a great adventure movie happening in WWII where everything can be pretty easily presented in terms of black and white morality. This one is going to be a very different. They sell it as a political thriller and it shows in the trailer.

 

That's a hell of a trailer. Officially trebled my interest in it.

 

Interesting. That actually has me excited. Only bad thing: the weapons tech is flashy, but it doesn't really look like an incarnation of the established Stark/Hydra/Asgard stuff, which makes me nervous that the bad/good guys will have super tech just because it looks cool, and not for a legitimate reason.

 

You liked Captain America? I thought nobody liked it. I personally thought it was OK, though the weakest of the movies leading up to The Avengers. That said, this one has Black Widow so I'll watch it.

 

I had a big problem with the Captain move, I don't if it was the version I saw, on Telecine, but it had one of the worst pacing and editing I ever saw in a blockbuster. But the characters were awesome and the story was pretty good to, almost as good as Iron Man, better than Thor.

 

I think Thor was the worst of the Phase I movies, but Captain America was probably my second least-favorite. Neither of them felt like they stood on their own -- it was more like they were just introducing them for the sake of The Avengers.

Hopefully the sequels to both manage to let them come into their own.

I also hope they can try and limit the jokes for once in this movie and let it be serious. Iron Man 3's trailer made it look serious much like this one, but then the movie still had a joke every two minutes. I mean I still liked it for the most part, but I'm kind of sick of every Marvel movie doubling as a comedy.

 

Fuck you and everything you stand for. I bet your favorite series is Game of Thrones.
