As for the Star Trek trailer music, anyone else thinking they're trying to go with that Guardians of the Galaxy did?

 

Guys, something strange happened.

I clicked to see the Star Trek trailer on youtube, and pure salt started flowing through my screen from the comments section.

Huh, weird.

 

You mean that new Fast and Furious In Space movie?

On another note, my God, does this new Ghostbusters abortion look terrible.

 

I refuse to acknowledge that movie as something worth watching. I mean no offense to 'wimin' but Ghostbusters worked because of the actors not because of the script.

 

What are you guys basing your opinion off of beyond a few character stills? I mean... I despise Kristen Wiig's style of comedy, but I haven't actually seen anything about the film that would make me NOT give it a chance.

 

Two words. Melissa McCarthy. She's like Zac Galafanakis, offensively unfunny and cringeworthy.

No doubt a lot of people won't watch it because they're all chicks though.

 

It's Brenefix Crumpetsnacks. That's enough for me to want to see this.

 

They've actually managed to make Ballywho Tallywhacks look somewhat like the comic version of Strange. I'm impressed.

 

Yeah, I wasn't expecting him to look anything like that good. I am much more hyped for the film than I was.

 

I gotta say, I'm digging the Dr Strange look. Hype is beginning to build up.

I was expecting them to be more modern with his costume, but they got it quite right in my opinion. Though the harder part will be making magic work within the MCU. It will be a challenge considering the fact that even comics never got it quite right when mixing Strange with other superheroes. Magic vs superpowers can be quite troublesome when there are no clear rules to what it can and can't do.

 

I'm betting that the Eye of Agamotto he's sporting in these pics is another one of those receptacles like in Guardians of the Galaxy or Avengers 2 - a housing for an infinity stone. The Soul Stone, I imagine. It's already established that these things have a fuckton of power if used right, and they're as close to magitech as makes no difference.

 

But magic has already been shown in the MCU though.

So Mads Mikkelsen is confirmed to be playing the main villain in Dr. Strange. According to the article:

Just based off of this list, that description best fits Doctor Druid. Anyone more familiar with the comics have a better idea? MCU is crazy complicated and I'm not getting into that shitshow.

 

Could also straight-up be an original character. Although I don't much care for the 'evil version of the character as the villain' routine that's in basically every MCU movie.
