Are the MC's eyes less goddamn distracting and more polished now than they were in the promo images?

 

No.

 

I'm not sure whether I've just adjusted to the eyes since the first trailer or whether they've actually been improved, but they didn't bother me that much when watching it. But then, I didn't really get that worked up about any aspect of the film; the set pieces were fun, and it all looked gorgeous, but it was very rushed, and didn't really feel like much was going on beneath the surface. And it just kind of stopped - if it had finished twenty minutes earlier it might have felt like a reasonable first installment, but as it was I'd rather have had another hour to rush through the sequel hooks rather than leave it hanging like that.

I thought so, too. If the movie has the same tone as the trailer then I am excited.

I like when biographies try to be more than just a summary, but some then get away too much from the real life of their subjects.



I wouldn't guess it's a new Danny Boyle film from this trailer, but the concept is intriguing.



I'm starting to get why 3 months from the premier Disney has yet to release a full trailer.

 

I read a lot of shit about Smith's genie (mostly the animation) but I am cautiously optimistic that it's a matter of familiarity. Once people get used (like two scenes in) to it it'll feel much less jarring.

 

The guy playing Aladdin isn't wowing me nor does he give off the same vibe Aladdin did. Jasmine looks generic. And will smith looks like will smith.

 

It's a possibility.

One thing that surprises me is that the director is Guy Ritchie and you couldn't tell that from any of these teasers. Could it be that Disney hired him and actually not let him do his usual stuff?

 

I'm just gonna move right past the Disney remakes, thank you very much. Marvel and Pixar is plenty enough Disney.

 

I'm not gonna lie, seeing Blue Will Smith makes me feel like they should have left him as is and forget the CGI.

 

Someone tweaked the design and I gotta say, it does look better.

 

It's basically been all but confirmed that genie will only be "big blue" for a few scenes. For the most part, he's "magicked" to look human i.e. just Will Smith in a sparkly blue tunic.

 

I can only guess that after Aladdin's teaser reactions someone in Disney quickly run to their "press only when in emergency" button to release this teaser.

 

That actually looks really good.

 

Okay, maybe I can expand my Disney budget a little.

Fuck the remakes with a rusty crowbar, but Frozen was a good movie, Let It Go is up there with the best Disney songs of the 1990s revival, and the twist on the love between sisters instead of another Prince Charming really was quite charming. I'm on board for Frozen 2.

 

This trailer was amazing and I am super stoked for Frozen 2.

 

I guess you could say it looks pretty....cool.
