It looks alright to me... I am however with a number of other people here on how quickly they seem trusted. Sure, if Aliens landed here and said "We come in peace, join our hawt chicks for some partying" I'd probably jump at the chance as well. Also, getting out into space to see other galaxies would be worth having some brainwashing going on or being eaten after a while.

Edited to add: Spoilers ahead if you aint seen the first episode!
In Anna's speech she says "We're far from home and require water and a mineral which is common and abundant on Earth"

Isn't water a rather abundant overall in the universe? Perhaps not in its liquid state but comets aren't exactly rare. Bit harder to spot I suppose but... aren't they supposed to be a rather advanced race? Mining some comets for a drink or two should be easy enough.

Earth has the largest supply of water in the solar system. We have found a little frozen water on some of the moons of Jupiter or Saturn.

But when you could have a planet that is 3/4 water would you settle for a little water on some uninhabitable moon or comet? Plus Earth has alot of food added to all the water.

I missed the first 10-15 minutes of the show and just finished watching it online.
I didnt like how they didnt explain why the Vistors have human names. In the original miniseries John said that they had chosen human names, but here they just happen to have human names with no reason as to why.
Also, the one reporter asked why they look so human, there was no answer and no follow up.
    We Come in Peace

I can see the Visitors gaining ground quickly in only 3 weeks. In the 3 weeks they were entertaining the World leaders and the representatives. Thats plenty of time to convert them. Of course that hasnt even been confirmed to be apart of this series yet.

That was one of the biggest plot holes in the original series, too.

That, and how you could hide a lizard-head behind a human face mask.

(I haven't seen the new premiere yet -- are they lizards in this one, too?)

    Yep lizards.
From what I could tell the fake skin seems thick(thicker than the ones in the original mini), and pulled tight over their skin flattening their true features.

What is it with Alan Tudyk?
Can he not land a role where he doesn't die in some way? I enjoy his acting, but seriously... he keeps dying!

Dodgeball; I, Robot; and A Knight's Tale would all say different.

There are a few things that I dont like about the show. But there are some things I do like

The Fifth Column is too out there for me. Ryan Nichols doing the whole re-recuiting of Fifth Column members and the legend leader of the Fifth Column.

I liked in the original there was only a little bit of the Fifth Column and the main focus was on the Visitors and the Resistance. Us and them, with only a little help from the Fifth Column.

Joshua is the only member I like so far. He is in the heart of the problem and he is helping the Resistance. Not spray-painting that there are traitors and major threats among you.

V second season started on the 4th. Dont know how I feel about the series yet. The Ryan baby drama is a bit pathetic.

    But some good news...
Jane Badler as Diana (Anna's mother)
Marc Singer as Lars Tremont (a member of a top secret organization of high-ranking military and government leaders who are preparing for a Visitor attack)

    I like this.

With some luck, I'll be watching the first chapter of the second season in two months. I'm definitely looking forward to it. In the meantime, I'll watch the two or three episodes of last season I missed and try not to read the Wikipedia article (fuckers spoil everything).

The only thing I didn't lke was how they spent too much time on the 'baby' sidestory. That fucking lizard baby had better be important to justify that.

Anyway, I hope the first second season chapter is more epic than the last first season one.

This second season is much better than the first so far.

I hope they filmed an ending for the series, as the ratings aren't looking to good.
