    Hard to imagine the Wachowski Bros managed to write something without little kids saving the day... oh, wait.

    Well, I certainly agree with the positive reviews - Hugo Weaving and Natalie Portman both did stellar jobs, although I was (to be honest) worried about Natalie's fake accent. In the end, it wasn't so bad.

    I particularly liked the Benny Hill sequence that mocked the Chancellor - and I was completely surprised what happened to the host.

    All in all, a thumbs up.

    Given that the Wachowski borthers simply took a brilliant graphic novel and converted it into a film, they could only be called writers only because the term 'converters' doesn't roll off the tongue.

    It was the scene with the doctor who performed the experiments on V that truly spoke of his character. All the others who wronged him were dispatched in violent ways, while the one who was truly repentent was given a simple, painless death.

    A top movie, with a spectacular selection for the background music.
