Been working on a massive new serpent hunting boat this last week built on the coast off @Alindrome base.

Also working on northern harbour but stone grind is hard....

 

Still playing most days.

Today I solo’d Modor which was super easy, think I could do two at once maybe three.

I also solo the 5th boss... just, fuck that is a hard fight, I didn’t time but I went through two cycles of buff, 4 fire potions and maybe 6 healing. He chased me all across plains, I ended up with 43 dark metal scrap from random pulls and 31 needles.

Also spent a bit of time in Ashland’s getting skills up and loads of coal and flametal.

Almost finished by serpent hunting boat, loads to do on my northern base.

Got hit by three troll raids in an hour yesterday. Fucking scary when your in the middle of your wooden storage room.

Also trying to explore 1 island a day, good way to gather food supplies and expand map.

 

Modor was pretty easy yeah. When she lands she doesn't chase after you so I just shot her with arrows until she was in the double digits, I ran up to her and went into melee because it fight fitting for a viking to kill a wyvern that way, haha.

As for Yagluth my half-brother stopped by and watched me playing Valheim for the first time so I decided to show off and fight the last boss. I brought 8 of my 1 star wolves with me as insurance. It was the quickest boss fight I ever fought in, they just murdered him.

 

I have yet to take a single animal, must add it to my list.

New update, mostly performance and quality of life.

@Joe @Lord Ravenclaw we will need another server update please.

If I’m the only one still playing is there a way for me to get the server as a normal world for me?

 

With the previous two updates things look to be running much smoother.

I am happy to keep playing on the server, but it is defo less active that it was a few weeks ago. I have two big building projects running.

 

I've just been too busy recently. Always planned to come back (and get that iron hahaha).

 

The Iron is now smelted as well! I will need to find a fresh swamp for one of my builds, I estimate 300-400 iron needed....

Texture and quality of life improvements.

Lots of speculation on the hints at new features.

I’m leaning towards tailoring station or similar for clothing and a lot of customisation for it.

Others are saying gold or clay mining as well.

 

The new update is coming soon.

Apparently the main focus is greatly changed food, more options and buffs.

Some new building items. And rumoured to be one or two totally new resources.

And the final fixes to loads of the little bugs that showed up in game. Combat tweaked, world gen, lag etc.

No new biomes as that comes later.

Apparently this update took so long as they were caught off guard by how much the game blew up. So they went and properly fixed a lot of the fundamental bugs in game while expanding team.

I think I’ll start from scratch in a new world when the update drops, or play a realm of others seen interested, won’t be playing to much with life duties, but maybe an hour a day.

 

Hearth and Home just dropped.

Gonna update and start a new world. They have added some cool stuff and tweaked almost everything.

 

I just played 2-3 hours on a new world, didn't get to many of the new features naturally but game play is smoother.

Apparently the instance lag for big baes is way down, people had a 30,000 instance base with the lag cut by over half.

If we play again on a server I am in, but I would recommend a new world.

 

I'd be down to immerse myself in Valheim again. After we beat the last boss, I felt like I've done all there is to see, and have been waiting for this update.
