Yeah, Flairgold's vampires were good, but I prefer Anne Rice's vamps, or at least a cross between these and the Underworld bloodsuckers.

I'm one of those rare people that actually don't retch when consuming blood, (never in large amounts, that's just gross, the taste I mean) and I can sort of relate to the bloodlust they seem to have in all of the novels.

On a side note, if any of you decide to try blood for a change, never, NEVER consume stale blood... freshness is the key.

But, as long as it's fresh, the blood wont harm your system... much... despite what people may tell you. Either that, or I have an unnatural immune system, which I highly doubt.

People would lay a big pile of seeds outside their house, as it was said that vamps were obcessed with counting, and would count all the seeds, but by the time they were done, it would be daylight

Anne Rice's vampires are cool. Especially Marius and Lestat. Those two are great characters.

And as to the vampire folklore? Rubbish... They're already mythical, why make them count stuff outside your house so you can *kill* them? I'd rather keep my 'underworld' view of sexy vampires dressing in form-fitting leather, thank you very much. I haven't watched the second movie, but planning to do so in the near future.

 

Werewolf. Insane bouts of Savage rage, devoruing Humanity. I would denfintly be like Fenrir Greyback , killing people all the damn time. Sweet!

 

Vampire, definately. I don't care how pale I get, they are so cool. Theres nothing more to be said. Oh...and they have much MUCH more sex than werewolves...orgies too.

 

I'm sure a Vamp would have unlimited stamina :roll:

 

I saw this one movie where they tried that but the vampire was fast enough to count all the seeds/rock before they hit the ground...onther one is that they will untie any and every knot. But once again in the same movie the vampire did it very fast. I mean you have like superspeed...why wouldn't you do it fast.

Has nothing to do with stamina... and everything to do with lubrication and lack there of after a certain time...

 

I believe i saw that movie, they had him bound to this metal things and then he got released and the burst a big ass bag of sand but he counted all the grains extremely fast

I think I saw that movie too, I remember he bit someone's face off. I think it was Dracula 2000 or something like that.

 

Yeah I saw that movie too. Isn't it the one with the crazy priest with supercool powers trying to fight Dracula? I distinctly remember the vampire captured being depicted as Dracula.

 

Is it me or is Dracula getting ridiculously easy to capture and dispatch? Dracula is supposed to be like the mafia godfather to the vampires yet he always gets his ass kicked in the movies. Think about it. They have Dracula acting all dark and cool killing people by smacking their heads off, but then a normal human probably not even a eighth of Dracula's age gets some half-baked plan together and manages to kill him. Is Dracula really that gullible? Honestly if I met Dracula I would try to make peace by offering to let him get a hit of my weed.

 

IRL, I think wolves are really cool, but for some reason, I hate werewolves in every movie I've ever seen except Van Helsing (and since that movie blew period, thats not a great thing). I would definitely prefer to be a vamp. Even if there were no powers and you were just a pale, thin night person, it would be cool. I like people with really light skin. Not white people, I mean like in movies and stuff. Seriously ghost white. And I already sleep during the day, so it wouldn't be that different. And enhancments are just gravy.

 

vampires just have the awesome power, speed and that whole scary thing with the shadows going on!

 

Totally agree with you, Werewolves do blow in movies, especially Underworld, i thought they looked pretty terrible, except for the fact that its a great movie, The werewolves in cursed were gd as well as the ones in van helsing

If you want some really good background mythology and stuff look at White Wolf's world of darkness role playing games. There is all sorts of stuff about Vampire society and physiology etc.. The computer game covers quite a bit of it too. Check out the thread in Computer games discussion.
