Has anybody besides me been reading them? Personally I like them much better then the movies, though the movies where kick ass the books give you so much more then just two movies.

For those who want to know the first D movie is based off the first novel Vampire Hunter D and the second, Blood Lust, is based off of the third book Demon Death Chase, the second book was called Raiser of Gales.

So has anybody besides me been enjoying learning more about the world D inhabits?

I wish I could afford the novels, but I can't so I just watch the movie that was made in 2001. I really would like to read them. Are they much different than the movie?

Doris Lang in the first movie looks nothing like she does in the book and the movie ended differently then the book did.

Also we learn form the book that D has loads more control over his Vampiric powers then either movie indicated.

As for Blood Lust I have not read Demon Death Chase yet but right off the bat I can tell you the chick that is in love with the Vampire is blond in the book and Layla has long blond hair in the book, whereas its tomboy short in the movie.

Also the book version of her is a lot better looking then the Blood Lust version.

Raiser of Gales is by far better then the first book, but its not as flashy so its easy to see why they never made it into a movie as well, but from that book we get the startling fact the D's old man may not be as dead as we were lead to believe.

Yeah I remember now, he's the son of Dracula, so even though he's half he still owns.

Finished Demon Death Chase and I can only stare in awe at how much they changed from the book. I mean it was like they kiddyfied it because they didn't want people to see how bad it could get....really in my opinion the book is much better then the movie.
