    Bump.

    It's going to happen. :awesome

I'd say it was a great success, no? This could really blow the door open for many other awesome projects as well.

So, the Veronica Mars movie came out. Watched it. Damn, it's actually good. Kinda nostalgic, but still, quite good.

P.S. I hope torrent police doesn't browse DLP...

I'd look forward to watching it if it was anywhere near me. It's on limited release because one of the Kickstart offers was to give a digital download version to anyone that donated $35. So it's not in wide spread distribution. 270 screens nation wide.

    Fuckers.

I went to an advance screening which had a decent percentage of super fans. A guy I knew there that hadn't seen the show still liked it, but he picked up on how there seemed to be a lot of fanservice.

Well, when fans give you 5.7 million dollars to make a movie, you better service them :D

I really liked it, it felt like a long especially well crafted episode of the show which wrapped up a lot of loose ends and left a few new ones dangling. Yeah it could have been more cinematic and the mystery was less interesting than watching the characters reconnect but it is pretty much exactly what the fans paid for, delivered well. Not sure how much of an emotional pay off there would be if you hadn't seen the TV show, but it is you have, you'll really like it, if you haven't, eh its fairly fun if a little wobbly as a stand-alone.

Oh yeah and I definitely got my wish, they brought pretty much everyone you'd want to see back.

I just watched it. I'm a fan of Kristen Bell and I loved the TV-series. I was seriously crushed when it got cancelled, and got really excited when the Kickstarter deal happened. Now, I'm conflicted. The movie was awesome - pretty much everything I had hoped for - but, silly me, I thought watching it would have helped me, like, moving on and stuff. It didn't. It just left me wanting more.

I think I'll hop on fanfiction.net and look for halfway decent stories there. Feel free to offer recommendations, if you guys have any.
