IDK what the fuck I did, but someone I fucked up my laptop pretty bad. It won't run any programs. Every .exe I click asks me to choose a program to open the file with. I cannot even open any of the system tools, or even msconfig. I can't open anything in the control panel either, and I can't open the program to do a system restore either.

Help.

 

After this is sorted, download and use AVAST.

It's saved my bacon God knows how many times.

 

So far this is working. The hardest problem was actually getting an internet browser to work, because the laptop is still infected with a virus called 'xp security 2011' which makes browsing nearly impossible.

But, the .exe fix worked (so far) and i'm just going to roll back my system a bit.
