that idea does hold much merit mcfeedfest, because bertha jenkins ghost form came out of the wand during prior incantem, and she was killed the summer before 4th year.

Second: Peter panics

Third: Calms down somewhat

Fourth: Takes wand

Fifth: Goes to his house (He has one I'm assuming)

Sixth: Hides wand

Seventh: Runs

Eigth: Sirius chases after him

Ninght: Sirius catches up

Tenth: Peter blows up street and escapes

ehh not bad, but first we need clarification if worm was even at the potters that night. in harrys flashbacks from the dementors he hears his dad say voldie is there but doesnt mentioned anything about worm. i think he would have said somthing if he knew worm was there. unless he was hiding but unless we ask jo or she tells us we might never know

 

I think that I agree with nonjon's post. There is just so much information about so much stuff that is missing from the books that I don't think that I can come up with an answer that doesn't lead to other questions.

Would the Fidelius Charm stay active even after Wormtail betrayed the Potters.

 

I think it's just a part (one of many) of the story that does not necessarily make sense but we're not meant to question about.
Although the whole Wormtail grabbing it does make some sence Voldi was alone when he did that, well at least he was in the film and JK did have a LOT of say in that one film, plus I don't really think that Wormy would be important enough to be there, you know?
Plus Sirius came soon after pretty fast considering he beat Hagrid on the Bike an all.

 

I always took the wand problem as a way to plausibly explain a second, more powerful wand, If the fandom author so chooses.
Dumbledore could have gotten the (not yew/phoenix-feather )wand and so explain what happened by checking for the last spell, then lock it up in his desk drawer. That could also be an explaination why Voldemort had to use his "childhood" wand in the graveyard, Wormtail fetched it from the Riddle house or something, were it was stored just in case he needed it again.
