I have recently asked Midknight for permission to organise a ff.net c2 for each section of the library, which would be regularly added to and updated to reflect the current fics in the library.

Why multiple c2s I hear you say, when you could just have one? Well, we have a broad and diverse range of stories in our library, and putting them all into one c2 would just be confusing, as c2s are supposed to be specific to a certain type of story to allow ease of viewing and finding stories. The same reason really why we split the library up, for ease of use.

So, that's the plan.

Now, as ff.net only allows each user to have one c2 of their own, I need volunteers, who haven't already got a c2 (or are willing to delete their current one) to help make this possible by creating a c2 for a section of the library. You wouldn't have to do all the work (or any of it) as we can all be set to staff members of each other's c2s.

Here's what we have so far:

Dark Arts: Necrule Paen

Independant: Dark Lord Rostam

Romance: Stalicon

Alternates: Surarrin

Humour: Xiph0

Time Travel: Spacks

Azkaban: Randeemy

General: Taure

Restriced section:

As many of the stories in the Restricted Section aren't on ff.net we might not make that catagory and put the stories in there that are on ff.net into other catagories.

 

I can do Independant. And that's a great idea, Taure.

 

I can do Dark Arts.

 

Cool, we also need to organise names and descriptions.

I thought as a name for the c2s we could have something like:

"DarkLordPotter Library: General"

Obviously the italic text would change for each section.

For a description, we could have a generic description for all of them, and then individualise them slightly.

For example, for the Dark Arts section:

"Stories from the DarkLordPotter library. These stories will be generally darker and more mature than your average fanfiction. Some slash included, but it is generally avoided. Contains stories focusing on Evil Harry and other Dark Magic practitioners."

And for the Alternates section:

"Stories from the DarkLordPotter library. These stories will be generally darker and more mature than your average fanfiction. Some slash included, but it is generally avoided. Fics that contain AU's, crossovers, and stories that deviate greatly from canon (e.g. Serveritus)."

In both these summaries, the italic text is the generic DLP c2 description, with the normal text indivualising each c2.

Is the staff Adimins and mods from the site? I didn't understand it but thats what I'm assuming, mabey I missed it.

 

I can take Azkaban fics.

Are these things complicated to set up?

 

We will invite all of the c2 managers to be staff, and if any of the site admins/mods want to be staff then we'll invite them too.

If people could post their ff.net user ids or their ff.net nicks, then we can add eachother as staff.

There's only the Restriced Section left, and we're still debating what to do with that, as it has so many fics that aren't hosted on ff.net.

well how about instead of a restricted c2 why not just have a thread where people can post links to ficwad (has some good ones) or where else there are good ones


then the person in charge can just edit the first post adding the stories that people agree is good enough to be considered apart of the restricted thread "c2"
