As I build all my junglers, HP is the staple. I think APmumu is a troll build, moreso now than ever with the nerfs to all his abilities. He kind of worked in a solo, but only mediocrely. His strength is in his great CC and base damage (especially sustained reliable damage through tears and spamtrum), not the scaling on those abilities.

HP lets you run headfirst into turrets so that your gank doesn't end because they got to the "safe zone." Someone once went 0-9 or something on APmumu jungle. They had assists sure, but not enough to make the 9 deaths anything but feeding. I told them they needed to build HP, not damage. Liandry's and sorc shoes was doing nothing for us. They responded that the team was ignoring them because they were 0-9 and therefore they should try to deal more damage, not be tankier. That would be true, but the fact that they rushed next-to-useless AP items was what made them go 0-9 in the first place.

On Fizz, I run with whatever page I have AS set up on, but ideally I think I would use AS marks and quints with armor seals, then maybe MR glyphs. I'd get the madreds and then get a stinger into mogs if I'm ahead, or madreds into some giants belt item if I was behind. The power of HP is the power to dive and rely on your allies for their damage. I think it's the best choice on every jungler.

Admittedly, I haven't played much in the current patch with the BOTRK buff and pure tank builds might not still be the thing, but I think it's still a pretty good strategy for the early game. A quick giants belt will make you a pretty strong force in the mid game on most junglers, much more so than a pickaxe or any other purchase really.

My full build on the jungle fizz would be nashoors, zhonyas, glacial or lichbane, GA, and an hp item like mogs, sunfire, or randuins. The CDR, zhonyas, and GA make you megatroll extreme and really just make fizz great to play. Like always though, my builds are heavily based on my opponents. I've played more gragas than most people in the league, and I have a different core build every single game.

But once again, it's a rare combination of damage, tank, and cc that makes Fizz a good pick. One of the biggest things to consider is your opponent jungler. If he picks olaf or something that is relatively dangerous, fizz is like shaco-level counter jungling with more late game presence. He's dependent on being gank heavy, but pre-6 ganks are strong and post-6 ganks are brutal.

Well yeah, I never run full AP Amumu, I usuall grab a spirit stone and a wardstone early (so I can ward the other teams blue buff and the bush between mid and blue before 7 minutes), and then depending on my team comp and the other teams comp, I'll either get merc treads or ninja tabi. After that I'll either start building a rylais or a sunfire, and then the other. If the other team is AP heavy, then I may get an abmysal, if they're AD heavy I'll get either a randiuns or frozen heart depending on what my team is getting.

In the event that myself and my team is doing well, then I'll get a liandries after my sunfire+rylais, and I may sell my sightstone for either an abmysal or deathcap.

Also, I've found the best way to play amumu is to be constantly providing pressure for my lanes, I constantly either gank, set up ward in the other teams jungle or even steal buffs so that the other team will be forced to have to know where I am.

For durability I end up buying Gauntlet and Bulwark and itemize according to the other team for the other 3 items. I don't get how he can counter jungle as well as shaco, do the as quints let you kill jungle creeps that much faster than ap quints? And no I don't play amumu because he's too faceroll.

No, the AS just brings him up to par on jungle clear speeds.

His Q/W does a lot of damage on its own, but if you have q/w/e, the enemy cannot escape you. The whole goal of the counterjungle in the fizz situation is to catch them with their pants down rather than take their exp. With a shaco counterjungler you find an olaf and deal 90% of his hp then he gets away with ghost sometimes. With fizz, you secure that kill because no one escapes you.

Anyone have a quick and dirty volibear guide? Trying to explain it to my friend who knows nothing about the jungle, but I don't play volibear and most guides seem wrong.

For Voli you want MS quints and AS marks with standard seals and glyphs. Take ghost and smite because his q gives an insane amount of move speed and when you combine it and ghost your ganks are super strong. Try and get an early gank off so you can buy mobility boots and spirit stone on your first back. If ahead grab a kindlegem and get a spirit of the ancient golem. If even grab an aegis if against double ap and locket in all other situations. Just stack health after that.

For skills max q last, w for damage and e for ganks/utility. You can either start e or w, comes down to preference.

Max W first if you are jungling, and start Machete +pots. Whether you finish that Machete into anything is up to you, but generally not necessary. After that, just build your standard hp volibear items (Locket, Spirit Visage, Warmogs). Can easily go Wolves>Blue>Red>Gank if you want at level 3, though obviously will just depend on the situation. Also, I honestly believe that Flash is a better choice on Volibear, whether it is to catch someone surprised suddenly that's out of position, or ganks in general. You don't need Ghost again after MS quints and Q.

Snoopeh played Ahri, Akali, Anivia and Annie in the jungle today. A pro playing a champion doesn't exactly make them viable.

Did you see any of the games? I watched the last one and Tristana full on derped for the last half of the game. Can't say if it was good or bad without watching them, i've seen streaks where Oddone lost 3-4 games in a row, and times when he can't seem to win a Maoki game (in s2).

Edit: Snoopeh is doing a "Play everything in jungle" stream, which is not what Oddone is doing. He picked it as a legitimate pick out of jungle.

I'm pretty sure he did it as a viewer request the first time and then as an attempt to win the next two times. Which failed.

And he's not playing on tilt or something, he lost twice as Yorick, won as Sejuani, lost as Yorick again, and then won as Sejuani again. And I may be pretty out of touch, but isn't Sejuani still one of the weaker jungles?

Perception=/= Reality. He went like 8/3 that Sej game.

How often did you hear how terrible Volibear was until LCS? Yeah.

She's considered weak, but she's honestly not that bad. Sejuani has very high damage if you can stick to a target and god tier initiation with her ult, but she's held back by a lack of innate sustain or tankiness on her kit. She's a lot like Amumu really.

Not often. He wasn't a popular pick but he wasn't a useless waste of space like Yorick either.

But no, I see your point. A professional league of legends player who has been on one of the top teams worldwide for more than three years can't make yorick work in the jungle. Thanks for pointing it out.

@ElDee: I always thought the consensus was "she's really hard to get going and easy to invade, but a pretty good ganker and a great teamfighter with her ult." Weak early game and weak starting jungle, but pretty decent otherwise.

Personally I always find it interesting watching some of the jungles pro players run whether it's for shits & giggles or just because that want to (St Vicious comes to mind with Ashe, Ezreal and Trundle lately, Snoopeh's A-Z with Blitz and Akali standing out). Admittedly a lot of them perform poorly but it's always fun to see what works out & what doesn't.

As for Sej, seen a lot of her today (notably a guy called BadMoose on EUW has been playing Sej or Lulu all day) and I think if you can survive the first 2 clears then you're good as ElD said, you're like an inferior Amumu but I think her ult makes up for it alongside her sticking power given her kit and general building tanky. S'not to say that building early damage like you can on Naut doesn't pay off but naturally it's risky (Sorc boots & haunting guise being the cheap, obvious options before going tanky). Personally it's something I'd love to try.

Trundle is a fantastic jungler... who unfortunately doesn't do very well if the enemy team stacks beefy bruisers. He's amazing when the enemy team is four squishies and one frontline tank. Hopefully his upcoming visual rework doesn't change his kit too much.

He does fine even vs 2 bruisers. His main problem is his Q animation causing him to effectively have zero damage abilities later, if he wants to maintain DPS. His ridiculously high mana costs on top kind of don't help either.
