I'm not saying flattery is deserved or not, I'm just saying, girl posting pic + male dominated forum = inevitable flattery. It's a law. A guy law.

    (^is that showing up?)

Edit, yeah it was showing up, but it was in pisspoor taste man, it's not like someone was trying to hump her godamned leg, we were being polite Removed pic b/c it's excessive.

I totally agree with you guys. That is how a girl should look like. A lovely and caring face, really sweet and beautiful.

But it all depends on what kind of relationship you want. Personally I want something with depth and emotion. If you want something like that, than personality is as important as looks and if not more if it should work out in the long run.

And I feel for you Rawenclaw, I haven’t found anyone myself. Might be because of my none existing social skills and that I can barely tolerate 5% of the people I meet. But who knows what the future will bring.

I lied, there is a girl who can put up with me, and has most of the traits I listed, shes also one of my good friends.

    The problem?

    She's lesbian.

I can normally tolerate about 2-5% of the people I meet.

    lol :)

Suprisingly your not the only person I know who has that problem...

So all I can say is schadenfreude :)

For those that don't know schadenfreude is German for "happiness at the misfortune of others." Seems like an appropriate phrase for this occasion.

Edited: Careful, I have German heritage from my Father's grandparents. -LR

    Bah!

Everyone between 13 and Dead has problems with their looks. Mainly because everyone has a differant definition of perfection.

I was watching Blind Date about a week ago... They had 2 old people (91 and 88 respectively) on the show. They might have looked terrible to me, but to each other they looked alright. Never go harshly on yourself about your appearance if it's something you can't control. Now something like dandruff is of course inexcusable... Or at least it is for someone like me... Who knows, there might be some freak out there who gets turned on by it.

    Perception is Reality.

Good to hear =) (response to Rebecca's post)

To be honest most men have preconceived notions of what "beauty" is, which in their eyes is superficial looks...nothing more than ideological drivel. While physical beauty is nice, whats within is worth far more, but unfortunately this drives many women to paths such as a subconscious creation of a disorder such as anorexia.

I'd say 80% of us at this forum lack these notions, though instead possess a cynical personality, and a much less hoodwinked view of the world.

Fortunately for you, you appear possess both qualitys, don't worry about yourself, and if you feel down, take the view I took on my own life, which is to take an apathic mindset towards anyone or thing who doesn't like myself or whatever I do, be it dress, music, or my organizational skills. Though I do so enjoy falling into my Slytherin mindset and returning sarcastic, biting remarks which usually leave any but the most witty reeling for a response.

I think I love you all. Many people, myself included, hear precious few things like that and it warms the soul.
Of course that warm fuzzy feeling will become a raging inferno that consumes everything that opposes its mistress...
    but I digress.

    Hehehe :)

Destroying the opposition is always fun... But humiliating them is even more enjoyable.

You forget you provided the DLP Moderators and Administrators with immunity amulets. Just make sure Giovanni's hair is torched...if it'll burn. All that hair gel must make it rather flame-retardent...
