I think my first was some NGE shinji/rei fic that got washed away in the hentaicaust. Can't remember the name though. In fact, most of the fics I got started on are gone now

 

My first fanfic was Harry Potter and the Curse of the Damned's prequel...which was called...um...well...it was a long time ago...

 

I can't remember the name of the first fan fiction I ever read, as it some time nearly six years back.
But first fanfic I ever read in English(before that I read fics in Finnish) was Moonlit Nights by Mara and Becca. It was H/Hr vampire fic and pretty dark one. I think I'd still find entertaining, but unforunately it seems to be abandoned.

 

My first was "HP and the Green Flame Torch" By Jack Ryan. FOund it by mistake when looking up things about book a year or so before its release.

The first complete fic I read was "HP and the Fait Accompli"

Back then I wasn't really aware of many things, like fanfiction, publication dates of the books and so on...
Took me a while to realise that it wasn't canon

 

Same for me, I liked the first two but the third was horriable. Yes, she is still around and has a yahoo group and posts on Fiction Alley occasionally.

 

I'm pretty sure it was Power of Time by RossWrock...

 

My first ever Harry Fanfic was Harry Potter and the Maw.

 

Mine was Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix and its sequel Harry Potter and the Well of Shadows. H/G which sucks but i loved how Draco stayed EVIL

 

Somehow barb's trilogy got passed around as the real next HP book. I think I stumbled across pdfs of that before I ever went any fanfiction site. I tried to reread it, and while still very well written, I just couldn't stomach it.

 

First Fanfic was a Ranma 1/2... Couldn't remember which one.

 

My first fanfiction was Insertion by Carrotglace.

 

Dumbledore's Army by Bobmin. At least, that is the first I remember.

 

The first i read was an annoyingly fluffy james/lily fic from mugglenet.com's fanfiction area.

I hated it then but i decided to search for any better fics on google (nearly all of mugglenet's are crap) and found www.fanfiction.net. Then i started searching for post ootp fics and came accross some independent!harry's.

And i've never read the psychic serpant trilogy, but i have heard about it a few times.

 

Umm, I believe it was the Psychic Serpent Trilogy, though I never finished the third. And unlike most people I knew it wasn't cannon. =P

 

In general, my first fanfictions were a result of me trying to find new manga to read at school after they blocked stickdeath.com and ended up reading some Neon Genesis fics on some overly obsessed fansite. Some turned out pretty good, so reading fanfics became my new internet pastime.

In the HP fandom, my first was also the Psychic Serpent Trilogy. The common reason for this is that it was one of the highest returned search results at the time, when there were all those rumors of OotP being leaked onto the net, so when everyone searched it they found the PS Trilogy. Waiting for updates got me searching fictionally, then to ff.net and from there to dlp.net. The second was also my favorite and the third my least so, but I tend to "forget" the "ending" of the third, just like I "forgot" the ending of the Italy v Australia world cup match.

 

The psychic serpent triology is the one I remember. But i had read one before though i the name of the fic was HP and the ring of the ancients written by Harrywriter and was the shiitiest fic i have ever seen more so than h/g fics.

 

My first fanfic was some post-HBP pro-Canon story on some German fansite. The first English fanfic was The Dragonmasters from Naia I think.

 

My first HP fiction was Cassandra Claire's Draco Dormiens, and, sadly enough, I loved it. I still enjoy it, and the following stories, because it's quite well written. Shameful, I know, but there you have it.
