What would your horcux be and how would you hide it?

Well in response to this, if you read HBP on page 436 and I quote.

So if going by the book, there has been no stated reason as to why someone cannot make a horcux out of a magical object. Infact, Tom uses one.

It's suppose to possess, I haven't tested them. He doesn't know, so technically we still don't know.

Every post Voldemort fic that has a new dark lord is pointless then. Harry is now a fucking immortal because evryone says Voldemort will be immortal if he kills Harry so it should work either way. In a Harry kills Voldemort and becomes the new dark lord story he'a immortal so he wins.

No. They live forever, until the other dies. After that, they can live normal lives. It's just until then it will be a long miserable life, until the other is dead. Do you understand the prophecy?

Yes, I think if I try hard enough I can comprehend it.

It must just be Fannon thing, how if Harry dies no one can kill Voldemort.

Yeah, it is. I blame J.K, she only gave us the words, and left everyone to have their own interpretations. So we don't really know what can happen, do we?

No we don't. That's why usually in Fannon there's always a new prophecy that says Harry can only defeat Voldemort when he sticks it in Ginny's ass.

If you chose something like a pebble and threw it in the ocean it would abrade itself and be destroyed right?

Well, if you are strong enought to make a horcrux, I would assume you would put protections. Also, because of the magic of the horcrux itself, I doubt it would erode as fast or at all.

No the MAGICAL power of the Horcux would keep it safe.

How is anyone supposed to know that, I dunno about you but I haven't actually tested that theory.

Edit: Posted while I was typing DLR, that makes sense.

Hmm... I dunno about that, it kinda seems too easy.

What if some whale sat on it?

Hadnt read the rest of the thread, but mine would be a stone of Stonehedge

Why? They've been there forever and a day, they're durable as hell, and it's in a sacred, protected place. Either that, or some random stone on the side of one of the pyramids.

I wonder if you made a piece of gold as a horocrux, and somebody melts it will the horocrux still exist...? I mean it is still gold right, just in a different state of matter.

Yeah I've thought about that too. I think it would still exist seeing as a horcrux isn't a physical thing. A horcrux is a piece of a soul so if the horcrux would be split in two, I think you'd have two horcruxes containing a smaller piece.

Mine would be a rock placed at the ocean floor of the deepest place in the world, it would be covered in spells to protect it from erosion as well as anti-muggle/anti-wizard/anti-animal/anti-magical animal spells and also a remote portkey that allows me to summon it by activating a charmed box that is hidden in a room protected by the Fidilius Charm.

Mine would be a piece of vintage porn. That way when an upstart hero came to try and destroy it he would be distracted for long enough to not notice my army of inferi attacking him from behind.

    Nice Gullible.

How about a Phoenix, I don't think anyone could destroy that. Assuming living things can be used.

Living things can be used, at least I think so. Nagini is after all a horcrux.

If you made bacteria into your horcrux and it split would you then have two horcruxs then 4,8,16,32,64,124,256,512,1024... ect you would be unstopable. But then there is the problem that if you did want to die you are kind of screwed until the world blows up. Even then the horcrux may last in a fossil bacteria floating alone in space forever long after the world is dead... Just gotta choose a good bacteria like Ebola.
