Having Voldermorts Horcrux diary take over Neville Longbottoms body and him then capturing the real Voldemort as he doesn't like what he's become. Also earning him the nickname Riddlebottom which is just fucking epic.

Harry Potter and the Champion's Champion
This story is a pretty good candidate for the WTF thread, but Voldemort's defeat in the last chapter was certainly original.

 

I read a fic that had Voldemort getting his strength from his own hatred or something, so Harry used a Cheering Charm to beat him.

Don't remember the name, but I do remember the main plot was that Hermione was forced to screw over the Order due to a loophole in a Wizard's Oath she made with Voldemort. He had her cowering in a corner and offered to spare her and her loved ones (hence, the oath) if she told him the Prophecy. Or something like that.

It's been about three years since I read it. It actually was a pretty decent story at the time, but it doesn't sound like something that would age well.

 

I read a story where Harry couldnt kill Voldemort because they couldnt find his horcruxs so Luna got him to turn Vold. and Bellatrix into inferius and keep them as pets.

 

Harry sneaks up behind Voldemort in the Final Battle, sticks his d*** up voldemort's ass and yells. "I love you." Voldemort then procedes to scream in agony and crumbles to dust. Do not remember beyond the first couple lines of the story before I desperately hit the red x.

 

That honestly made me lol, weird though it is.

I have vague memories of a fic that had Harry getting dragons to destroy Voldemort's hideout by crapping on it. Not sure if Voldemort died in it or not though...

 

Harry forces Voldemort kill himself if he wishes to preserve his immortal soul.

 

This thread could also branch out into "most original ways that the story deals with the Dursleys".

I.e. in one where Harry can animagus himself into a black dragon, just rips off the roof of no. 4 privet drive, and craps in it, killing them all

I read that one. Pretty good, actually made me cry.

A bit too Jodi Picoult-esque (ie "Moral Dilemma #723829") but a good way to distract myself from the piles of forsaken homework on my desk.

 

Yeah, just wish I could remember its name. I remember there being a sequel in the works but I honestly can't remember.

...There's a lot of things I can't remember right now...huh...that's bad, right?

Shit I remember that, was one of the first fanfics I ever read. What it was was Dumbledore gave Hermione, Harry, and Ron the ability to hide or protect Hogwarts, kinda like Fidelus I suppose. But yeah he kidnaps Hermione and threatens everybody to get her to lead his Deatheaters to Hogwarts. Was a very frustrating fic, because after all the buildup to the "Final Battle" with Harry and the Order invading Hogwarts, all he uses is the body bind jinx and a cheering charm.

I read this once, I think it was an hp/dg story (could be wrong) and like 8 different names came out of the goblet for laughs. It has been awhile since I read it but it may be the same story where they go back in time and switch Tom Riddles dad's bones with a squirrel and is resurrected as a giant squirrel.
