So, I'm getting on to finishing up chapters one and two of my story, and I wondered where I should be posting them for criticism. They aren't quite finalized yet, though the first has been technically beta'd, so I don't want top post on FF.net just yet. Should I post it in the Work By Authors section, or is that reserved for final copies ect...

Or should I just continue to email it to potential beta's and the such?

(On that note, anyone wanna read chapters one and two, and help me think up a title?)

    Sure, I'll read...

And I think the Works By Author section is the place to post them...pretty sure the members criticize the chapters and then post them on FF.Net.

Or I think that's what they do...I noticed the Shezza writes things like 'will fix before posting on FF.Net' So I'm more than positive it's for what you are looking for.

I stand by my previous offer to read and edit your story as is necessary. Just email it to the address I'd given you before (if you don't have it anymore, tell me and I'll PM it to you again), and I'll do my best.

By the way: I still need an answer on how you want numbers to be dealt with: Full wording or just the symbols? That was left unanswered with chapter 1...

Edit: As thisperson stated, the Works By Author section seems to be the best place to post it first.

thisperson and Demon_Vigilante have it right. Post your fic in Works by Author if you want it to actually get critiqued unlike on FF.net where everyone with either say 'I want the next chappy! Please post it soon!' or 'That was so SQUEEE!'.

BTW, I think my twin is one of the ones beta'ing your fic so I can probably steal it from him to read.

... I was one of the ones beta'ing his fic, but after I got either the epilogue or part of the first chapter he just stopped giving them over. Hmm, maybe DLP's general Kolskit luvin' got to him.

As for the other question, I assume that you want your title to reflect the most defining features of your fic, which I recall is a mentor that Harry hates, and Alchemy. Wages of Transmutation? Ambivalance Everlasting? Magnum Opus?

I think you mean prologue. An yea, that's what it was. I've just been busy looking at colleges and working, so I haven't written much else. I'll be posting it on the Work by Authors section soon enough, you guys can all read it there.

Tuck Everlasting? Me and Bobby McGee? Once Upon a Rainbow? Just kidding.

Ummm... I have no idea what you might want to call it. But you should probably make up the name yourself. You probably won't feel write using someone else's idea. Or maybe you will. I'd go for something without huge, random, but someone cool sounding words. Go for something simple like 'The Weight of Change' or something of that sort.
