Hagrid is an oversized unintelligent oaf who is supposed to be a likeable character, but Rowling butchered just like the way Hagrid butchers the English language.

Rowling butchered everything about the series after the fifth book. Even that one was rather... iffy. Hagrid was just a preview.

I like Dumbledore. Out of all the characters I think he is the most interesting. One of the only good things to come out of DH was some of his back story. Not even JKs announcement of his homosexuality makes me like him any less. Dumbledore is the character that Harry should have been; powerful, smart, intimidating, etc.

I wish there were more AU fics where Dumbledore and Grindelwald continued on with their goals.

The problem with that it'd be cool, but slightly pointless, as the fight would be very one-sided.

Watching Dumbledore and Grindelwald wtfpwn everyone would be fun for a bit, but might get boring after a while.

Personally, DH was a good book, the way Voldemort got killed was rubish. Ithink JK rushed the last few chapters, leading up to the death of Voldemort

I'm sure there is someway it could work. Off the top of my head I can only think of Harry falling into this AU. Or Harry grows up in that world and maybe grows powerful enough to lead a resistance.

DH was a corroded piece of shit. The book starts out decently with that aerial battle, then we go for about 400 pages of Harry, Ron and Hermione camping, and finally we get to the bullshit ending.

Favorite Character: Tom Riddle Jr., as a Tom Riddle in Hogwarts, not the Lord Voldemort of his later life. A manipulative, ambitious student that wasn't afraid to learn more than the curriculum entailed and was gifted enough to coerce those around him into becoming a strong following.

In Canon, JKR presented the idea of a younger Riddle being far more manipulative than the older, though my recollection may be skewed by fanfiction. In all honesty, TR/LV had Harry and his troupe at every corner - The Goblet of Fire, the Gaunt Ring in effectively defeating Dumbledore (though he didn't know), Nagini and her appearances, the ban on his name, Snatchers, etc.

TR, however, was quite a manipulative little student. Unlocked the Chamber and escaped blame, was well versed in the Darker forms of magic from a young age, gained the control of the Slytherin house even as a half-blood, and was consistently infamous for his inherent abilities.

But yeah, Tom Riddle for the win.
