I can get reads from fluff. Fluffing can help to generate reads.

A lot of people on PerC can't follow my thought process. (example: Dizzy, we have been playing for at least 3+ years) I do post it when I can, but I don't always expect people to follow me on it.

But I guess the thing that needs to be stated is that with me wanting to have more fun...I to certain extent am trying to set certain boundaries. Or maybe plot points would be better reference point...it's like in the story I am my own main character and what happens to said main character effects and chains the course of said plot.

But I guess my version of amount of work is different from your possible version of doing said work...?

I don't know what I was expecting going through owner's ISO but there really isn't much there. It's a lot of fluff refusal to make more serious posts when asked and even after hasn't made much of an effort to question anyone. The discussion with reg seems more about game theory rather than figuring out anyone's alignment. Then her recent reads list is peculiar I find as the reasoning seems thin across the board but what has my attention is her wolf read on jarizok for his vote. Well his vote is on me and owner hasn't given any thoughts on me so it's not entirely clear what her problem with the vote is, it kinda comes across as a wolf read she has cuz ashe was told to have a wolf read. As someone with a playstyle that could be described as glacial I can sympathize with owner wanting to take her time but I really don't get what she's doing at the moment and her reads just seem odd to me.

    slight W read.

    Your own fluff generates reads?

    How exactly?

    2 questions:

Can you flesh out the Jarizok scum read & vote: Is it really just the vote?

Considering you didn't include half he game in this wall (you didn't include 4 of the top 5 posters as of now, why did you feel the need to mention the null on Cobalt, given he hasn't posted?

Well, I can't focus on said points if I haven't read them in the thread yet. Posting in real time is good to get reads, but it also makes the behind person fall in and out of context...in the sense that they aren't as informed as x amount of people so the struggle between communicating said points can be difficult when two persons do not share the same amount of background information.

So my interactions with you have deemed non-alignment indicative?

Jan tells a lot of great jokes when he is town. He semi-tries to replicate the same effect as mafia, but it doesn't always work out in his favor.

Delphine, I've mostly seen her town play. So the repeated gimmick in back to back games seemed like it wasn't accidental.

Rubicon was like a slanker/replaced out I think the last time I played with him. I don't recall him being that active. Generally, I see post count as being more townie, but it does sometimes depend on the player. Fable for instance, is repping so I kind of expect him to be good as either alignment. Last, I looked at it Rubicon was highest, but I guess that is changed now.

I can't really elaborate beyond that as I've been busy answering questions ever since I got home from being out like all day.

Jarizok's vote for me was different from Vira's vote on me. Jarizok's vote for me was more abrupt and "oh I'll just place my vote here...sort of feel"

do I have to focus on the popular people? Is there a rule that says that I have comment about the top posters every single time?

The null on Colbalt was an easy read, not much more to it.

That's a question for post game.

owner - If the reason you're not able to focus on stronger points is that you're not fully caught up I personally would prefer you focus on doing that and sharing your reads when you're caught up then. I don't think your interaction with me is 'non-alignment indicative' at all, I think the specific area that you're focusing on are less alignment indicative sections and think the entire thing looks like you "finding easy / unimportant areas to comment on as scum".

Your read on Jan and Delphine still feel weak but okay, at least I can follow the reasoning to a degree. The Rubicon one I don't get, like at all; saying that "More posts = town" with the specific reads you have don't really add up and feel like you just giving an easy read as mafia. Let me know where you're at when you fully catch up, we can talk properly then.

No, you don't have to, but given how many of these posters have been involved in the direction the game has gone, I was interested why you had elected not to discuss them.

Yea Cobalt's an easy read, but posting a null read on someone with 0 posts doesn't really help anything

Am I the gold standard for that kind of thing?

    ---

owner can you tell us more about why you think regfan is a witch?

That's possibly the most important thing you could do right now given regfan's prominence in the thread.

I'm gonna sheep Vaimes and Fonti until I catch up because I owe them for it after basing an entire world around them being scum last time I played actively, and being ass backwards wrong.

I plan on holding you to this.

Then bounce reads with me instead I guess? I have Jarizok/Vira/Atum/Delphine in their own sort of "Pretty much always town" section and have weaker town reads on Vaimes/Waco/Yourself, do you disagree with any of those reads; if so which and why? I think there's a good chance there's 3+ scum inside Miner/Fluff/Owner/Rubicon/Jan, how many do you think we hit if we drop a bomb on that group at the moment and which?

    +1

I'm caught up, but I'm just left with an overwhelming sense of confusion about Owner. I'll try again in a couple hours.

@Waco - Not a whole lot, I know you don't like Newcombs read on yourself but what do you think of the rest of his elaborated reads, specifically his reads on Jan/Fonti/Myself inside Post #712 since I thought the reads all came across very genuinely and it strengthened my town read on him, it felt like he was thinking about a lot of the those reads on a deeper level and given they're the people he was "Giving a pass to as the player" and not his actual scum reads I think that's a rather good sign. Does that and the rest of his posting outside of his read on you lead you towards reassessing your scum read there?

I know we've got very different reads on Miner too, would like to know what you think of my elaborated read on him inside Post #525 as well as my recent posts because I don't think you've really weighed in on that particular reasoning yet and it's a bigger read than "Didn't like his reaction towards Fonti".

---------- Post automerged at 01:55 AM ---------- Previous post was at 01:52 AM ----------

And yeah Jari, I'm not entirely sure what to make of Owners recent posting either, a lot of her interactions with me feel like "Grab part of the scum read on her, go on a weird tangent with it to seem like she's defending it and contributing at the same time and give herself an easy reason to state a shallow scum read on me". I'm not entirely convinced it means she's scum rather than just a well, very different type of player but I don't see any real genuine sorting from it so I'm hoping when she's caught up I'll have a better idea.
