Fable, you just did the strawman thing again.

    Jan ISO

I like seeing a thought like this this early into the game. It's thin but I think it does show a solve-y mentality.

Again like this thought, I think it shows jan wanting to be fair with his reads and is very villagery.

Gonna sound like broken record but again this early into the game I like this level of analysis and I think it makes it clear his read on reg was very authentic.

The two things I like here is jan prodding owner to produce content and refusing to go more into mechanics talk which is something I think is very easy to hide behind as a wolf.

This is bit thinner but I don't think a wolf would normally be happy to see someone do better than they usually do because that makes their job harder.

So the basis of this read seems very personal and therefore much less likely to be faked in my opinion to be faked and unless going for a pocket attempt I don't see a wolf going this hard defending someone who isn't really even under any pressure.

Again a lot of good questions here that look like they're trying to progess the game.

This doesn't cover everything but I think covers enough to explain why my read on jan is what it is.

Most of those things are not alignment indicative for Jan. The second and fourth points /might/ be valid.

He claimed I was only talking about miner (false), called it a tunnel (which serves to undermine my argument) and didn't assess the posts that Miner has made and he's claimed to be interested in. Yeah, I'd call that a strawman.

    Yeah, no, bad Von

Actually it's his involvement that makes me think Kai's appeasing. It feels like he's trying to do just enough unprompted to avoid scrutiny.

    LT, but yes.

Looked back through my notes from the MU games, I used it in my notes I was making from the game but must not have posted it. Mostly it's a tool to help me sort degrees of reads in larger games.

I was asked really nicely before the game to post more.

Can you expand on your Koalas read for me?

    I look forward to it

My issue with your reads (or "make a case") Isn't the expectation of you going through ISO's and doing a full out look. I'd settle for scum reasoning that looks like more than a throwaway, which was the tell I caught you on in WH7 during my N1 re-read.

I’m okay with lynching Miner or Owner.

Miner’s behavior is a question mark on top of question marks. Awkward filler posts:

That smilie bugs the crap out me. It’s like Miner is presenting this post with outstretched hands so he doesn’t have to smell it then slinking back into the shadows.

Immediately undercuts his joke to make us aware he’s only joking and please don’t take out the pitchforks.

    (We took out the pitchforks).

Then the Font Meta Incident (I’m sure it’ll have a Wikipedia page at some point). First he didn’t give the right information in regards to Font’s play last game, which is whatever because I’ve gotten worse wrong like only realizing today Typhon was in WH7, but then he never followed up on it. No “Oh, I got confused / remembered it wrong” or arguing honestly that he saw Font differently than others. He just swept it under the rug like he was trying to forget about it, unless I missed a post.

Miner: Fill me in on what you were thinking.

Moving on to more colorful targets, nothing Owner’s said has made me like her. Her posts bathe in a rainbow, and if I squint, I can see her sitting on top, blowing bubbles. She’s too far away for me to read, and rarely comes down to interact with us humans unless shooting rebuttals like bullets. I remember she was bubbly in WH7, but her tone seems off enough that I need someone to hold her down while I tie her hands and feet to this log.

Also, Fable. Yes, you, don’t run away this knife is only for show.

He reacted defensively like Owner, and grouping all his accusers as stupid and not thinking rubs me the wrong way. I don’t think his breakdown was faked, but I could see town and scum lashing out in frustration like that. I’m also hesitant to lynch him in general and would prefer to think about him more on D2.

    Vote: Miner
    .

I was going to vote Owner because I’ve had more interactions with her, but as I was writing Miner’s part out I was like, “Ehhh, let’s do Miner first.”

Pew Pew! is not a joke. The day 3 lynch thing was in response to a joke anyways.

Also, I stand by my fonti meta point, even if yall don't see it.

More specifically, I just want to say that BEFORE she went AFK because of whatever IRL issues she was exceptionally active (for day one) with a outlined strategy (whether or not it was bad is irrelevant), and a very clear way to proceed. I believe that people read her as town for it (myself included). I actually specifically remember Jarizok saying he did in deadchat.

But, you know, whatever. People have different views.

    Oh well.

I kind of just want to yell at everyone who keeps saying that I'm sweeping things under the rug.

I had to read 10+ pages while at a competition that I've spent literally like... 300 hours for this past year.

So like, bear with me if I don't see something. And, also, it's a lot easier for me to find it if you ping me with @ instead of just quoting a post of mine, because I'm up to like 50 notifications of post quotes.

---------- Post automerged at 10:32 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:28 PM ----------

Finally, I'd just like to point out that apparently lurking forever is healthier in this town than it is to talk.

Miner. Is fontisian pushing you because she's town and wrong about you, or is she pushing you because she's a witch and you're an easy mislynch?

Forget how wrong or right your various meta stuff with each other.

This game, right now, is fontisian a witch? Go.

Formally requesting everyone use a bright(er) color for their lynch votes.

Anything that really sharply stands out on the default green, and doesn't look too similar to the default white text.

    Okay

    Okay

    Not okay.

Edit: Okay doesn't even look like a real word anymore.

Newcomb, in the interest of breaking out of the circle we seem to be in atm, can you give me your thoughts on Rubicon? I know you said a while back you didn't want to lynch him today,
Has there been anything in the interim that has caused you to clarify your read?

I’m going to reply to this first:

It’s not healthier. We can’t lynch lurkers (well, we could) because we have nothing to go on. Sure, they’ll live longer but they’ll get no respect from it. Have you seen favorable opinions towards Cobalt and Fluff recently? If we lynch you today, at least you tried and you were here, and I'll always respect you for that.

    Gut says yes.

The one game where she ever read me as scum was one in which I'd already gone down a pretty deep rabbit hole with Typhon. Every other game (especially the ones where she was scum), she jumped the gun really early saying I was town for some reason that she wouldn't explain on the spot after like my first few posts.

I think that she knows she has a history of "reading me correctly". And that yes, she could probably bury me with the way that I tend to play games.

I realize that I didn't ignore the meta thing, but like I said I don't know in detail what happened the last couple days so I'm basing this on early day one which was literally all about meta.

I actually don't see what information you'd be able to get from my lynch considering no flips (unless you're expecting GD to claim tmrw or whatever), but sure.

You've been mostly talking about miner (true), I called it a tunnel because you are mostly focused on him and I haven't seen you critically assess others to the same degree (also true). Also I have been considering miner's new posts but I'm still trying to figure out what I think of them. So basically when it comes to you saying I'm doing "that strawman thing again"

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G2y8Sx4B2Sk

At the moment my thoughts are miner mainly talking broadly about meta stuff is nagl but we'll see if he ever actually posts real thoughts on the game once he's caught up but he is starting to drop a little.

I like Fables consideration and thought process inside Post #899 feels decently genuine and while I disagree with a lot of the points in his town read on Jan in Post #902 I can follow how he gets that read.

Was starting to think "If I've got a town read wrong it might be Vira" but her Post #909 reconfirms my town read on her, it's at a very similar spot where I'm at in that my lynch pool today is largely Miner/Owner and maybe Fluff. The reasoning behind her reads there is..less solid but I can at least see some believable thought process inside the post.

Miners response and sort of "Complete lurkers are given more leniancy than me!" feels like a "Scum upset re; how they've been caught" type thing to me; I think as town he'd believe he could turn the reads on him around by posting some genuine reads and thought process which is massively lacking, his response towards Newcomb inside Post #916 again strengthens the scum read there. If he was leaning towards Fontisian being mafia here he'd have accused / pushed on her earlier instead attempted to de-credit the push on him by her. The way he's gone about the whole thing just feels very unnatural.

Miner - If you're town here, actually catch up on the game to whatever degree you can and start sharing reds and thoughts; that's what I need to see from you if I'm wrong.

    ???

What thought processes in 899 could be remotely described as good?

I am actually less motivated than ever to read.
Might get around to it tomorrow. Might not.

Call me scum for it if you want.
