Page 25: Newcomb’s pretty against Miner on this page. Which looks bad in retrospect.

Page 26: Kai is against most claims here, which is... meh. Especially considering Delphine just probably cleared two people for us. I guess it’s a rare scenario that the Oracle’s clear is the D1 lynch target and they out in time to save them.

Delphine makes a read on Fluff that I like. (In that he’s basically yellow alignment-wise)

Regfan is towny and I don’t want to read his detailed posts word for word anymore because my eyes hurt.

The most interesting interaction on this page is when Jarizok sheeps Newcomb’s Miner read and then asks Newcomb if Miner would fit in a Fable / Fluff / Rubi world. It seems a lot like Jari is going out of his way to make Miner fit and is seeking Newcomb’s public approval for it. Not sure if w/w or just Jarizok witchy.

Regfan thinks Atum is town. WHY DOES EVERYONE THINK ATUM IS TOWN.

fontisian, why don't you talk with me about those posts, I'm around for now. Would also like your comments on my read on Jan here re; comparison wise to SVM and the problematic section of his vote after last game.

His initial scum read and push on me came across as very genuine and the attitude inside his entrance post is one I'd be pretty impressed coming from scum just returning from a break of the game. His frustration towards being town read based on it too earlier felt very unlikely to come from mafia. I'm pretty sure he's town here.

Initially I thought miner was a good rand and I was really looking forward to seeing how reactions to him shifted as he came off V/LA. Kinda went into this IRL day like, hopefully if I have to out it will be after there's some clear wagon analysis to get from it; if we could just get a counterwagon going on scum maybe we can break the game wide open from it.

But uh, instead of actually dedicating himself to catching up, miner decided to fucking start hardsofting town KP and make it super disadvantageous for scum to push on him which is the exact opposite of what I hoped to get out of the day. I started running scenarios of "ok if he's DOB then he's playing selfishly af, denying information I was really hoping to get AND giving me zero legit reason to defend him with and I kind of just want to out right now because I'm so fucking tilted by how frozen I am right now" "but if he's loose cannon then gdamn is this rand just fucked and it would be super dumb if I uselessly outed and oh my god is he literally going to shoot Vaimes." And then he fucking unclaims it and then it's just really obvious that regardless-of-alignment consensus is going to be that he's gambitting scum.

I just, uh, yeah. As soon as I realized deadline was in 20 hours I figured that I really should out. At this point I'm just so exhausted and tilted that I wish other people would take the reins.

 

It doesn't. So if you want to be wrong again, be my guest as that's what everyone else doing.

If you were paying attention, I actually did unvote Miner today, because I didn't have a strong enough read on him to justify voting for anymore.

You see, unlike some people, I'm fine with being stubborn in my reads. And I like having a lot of support for them. A lot of people were voting for Miner for little things like awkward posting. Him and me have had some similarities this game. I guess I'm saying or pleading for town to really take the time to acknowledge. I still think there's a chance your scum. And I want to look more into the wagon that formed on Miner.

I'm not going to claim my role if that's what anyone wanted.

 

It's okay, Delphine, really - I can see how that would be super frustrating when you're in a position of knowledge and just watching someone hit rock bottom and keep digging for no apparent reason.

He's safe, and you did your job - try to relax and work on your other reads.

 

How did no one care about Delphines post before the claim?

For those who had their votes on Miner before the claim, could you explain why you thought he was scum? Was it like meta mistakes or like confirmation bias or what not?

 

I have trouble believing this to be genuine.
Not him comparing my play to SVM, more the fact that all Regfan seems to care about is a flip on me.

Newcomb agreed with my position towards miner at the time and kept his options as open.
Half of the people didn't actually really mention Miner too much at all.

Regfan does not care about all that. Which is pretty weak and opportunistic considering the effort he puts up in most of his posts otherwise.


To add to that the fact that he didn't bother to read into the change of my read on miner after late today.(The whole antispew and crosspost with fonti thing) Unless he is completely tonedeaf he should know that my "let's wait and see" read from earlier on changed around that time.

I can respect such a lackluster analysis from a lot of people, but it feels just wrong considering Regfans play so far.


Him going for an owner lynch right after is as odd, because in SVM all possible d1 lynches were town and not a single scum had a vote on them.
We talked about that in scumchat. He has read said scumchat (mentioned it before in regards to a fluff read, i think).

If he believes in the words he is saying and is trying to draw parallels between games, he should be somewhat afraid of owner being town as well, but he is not at all.

Not even remotely what's happening; I've made it pretty clear I've got no intention of lynching you today or probably anytime soon since I think if you're town I should be able to to notice it eventually and my scum read on you isn't one I'm anywhere near rock solid on. Similarly I've focused on getting peoples reads/thoughts on you to get a better read on you so this sort of comment coming from you is very baffling.

This is just making a fabricated narrative, my issue is less with your Miner read and more with your lack of actual push/vote on anyone today, it feels like you're intentionally stepping back and not doing anything in a way that highly contradicts what I'd expect you to do given how Marketplace was lost.

I did read your read and comment on anti-spew, I thought the same thing. This is meant to mean what?

Majority of the day phase has been focused on Miner, Owner really only got focus inside the last ~12 hours, attempting to compare SVM where it was TvT from the get go and throughout the entire phase to here is proof that you're not analysing this properly at all and instead looking to de-credit me. I've elaborated on my raesoning behind Owner being mafia, Miner being town doesn't change any of that.

 

At the time this looked to me like some exceptionally townsided reads (though I guess it should be noted that I think I might literally be better off rolling a fucking die than actually trying to read Jarizok/Jan/Owner and thus was ignoring their placements).

I'm not too clear on how level Waco's approach to mafia is, but he's been very intentional this game about how he interacts with the thread and playing around with a lot of reaction tests in general. So, light townread, but trying to reconcile that with Newcomb and fonti both being townleans and them both seeming to shrug scumread him has been confusing. I decided if all 3 of them were town + Regfan (and Vira/Vaimes/Atum) were all town then I probably wanted to kill Rubicon the most.

 

Like this post from you is problematic on so many levels.

It's so far from reality and something that I really struggle to see coming from you as town here. It feels more like you attempting to squash the issue with your stagnant vote being on someone you had a townish read on while claiming to be taking control and pushing players by just renegeging on your town read on me and de-crediting whatever I say.

Like I'm willing to concede that your lack of content, reads and hard stances inside the pregame period is understandable based on your attitude of "It helps scum!" but afterwards you've been very soft in terms of pushing and trying to lynch scum (Which is evidenced by the point I made with your vote being on me when you town read me) in way that doesn't fit with your post-game attitude of Owners and early game here.

The combination of that with that and the person being most focused on inside the first ~72 hours of the day being highly likely town thus meaning that there's a decent amount of scum motivation for scum to stand back during the day phase and the fact that I know it's something you've done as scum before should make my scum read on you very understandable so you taking this stance just.....does not come from town.
