fontisian, I think your point about the second post is good, the other one not so much. In the first regfan post, I do not read "If miner is actually town here" as expressing doubt, more like a shifting gears from his previous assumption.

 

I wasn't answering your question to her, I saw her claim and literally got out of bed because I knew that given Miner's position in the thread, that town!Delphine would have had posts that showed that mindset of knowing he's town.

Like, this isn't a case of seeing if someone wrote O R A C L E down the side of one of their posts like a scrub, it was like... I just wanted to confirm what I was pretty sure was already the case.

If I'd found /literally nothing/ about Miner I probably still would have believed the claim.

Newcomb - You're missing the point I'm getting at, I have zero issue with the action of going through and attempting to find posts that make sense with her claim; that's logical and the right move to make. The issue I have is more a 'suboptimalplay one' is with you posting that before she answered; If you didn't see the question that's fine but still frustrating. I wasn't expecting an O R A C L E type response from her but a "I did X here because of it and Y here, and here I wasn't sure what to do so I did Z". I wanted to see that thought process from her, your post stopped that since she can just say "Newcombs addressed it already" regardless of her alignment.

That's rather the point. When Delphine claim, most of us instantly realized that meant she and Miner were town, or got there within a minute of thought.
