Tom, I know very few people here and it's a game style I haven't played before. It's going to take some getting used to.

FWIW, I don't think owner is scum. I think her activity and involvement is good. I feel ~okay about Jari and miner. Think DC might have scum equity. the list of thoughts kind of makes me concerned it's more about appearing town than actually being town - I mean, there's a whole post about mechanics. It's hard to ignore

First of all, I usually use dude as a gender neutral reference. I can not do this wrt you if it bothers you.

My first mafia game was around mid-late 2014 (Dersehunt), but I hadn't played for a few months before RWBY mafia. Luckily this means I can blame THAT game on being rusty...

I honestly just don't find D1 fun at all, nothing interesting has happened and I'm a mediocre shitposter at best. Not to mention the best reactions I can get are usually of people lynching ME, because otherwise I'm not sure what alignment the lynch target is so it turns into exponentially exploded worldbuilding.

And I dunno, I guess if it were me then anything that challenged my assumptions would make me want to go double check the setup? I mean if there's no explanation other than busy/lazy then w/e, but it just clashes with how I see the game I guess.

Does anyone else have any commentary on this? Like ordinarily I'd just be like "not bothering to double check is scummy", but the way owner is talking about it makes it sound like this is just her attitude/approach. Any meta commentary, for instance?

This would be true (and in fact I put a note in my QT saying you're either town or setting up a Vaimes mislynch), except you just pointed it out which kinda defeats the purpose of doing it.

Eh. I did a whole bunch of stupid gutfeels reads and paid for it heavily, and I don't USUALLY rely heavily on that sort of read. So I'm going to focus a bit more on using evidence to form opinions rather than the other way around.

...I might be being overly cautious though (my reads are basically scum on Kai, town on Rubicon, not enough info on anyone else at this point). I guess I'll do a reread when I'm not at work and see if I can spot anything.

It's certainly an unreliable read, with so many possible false positives. Sort of all I've got right now though.
