That was part of the most recent expansion ruleset I could find from cpi, and not actually a change that I put in. So the protect isn't in base set only games, just expansion ones.

 

Halftime specific Angel/Demon shots. O....K.

 

Angels specifically protect against the Coven, but protection (from anything other than the angels) works against everything.

I mean. We can make them burn their protect to obfuscate? And possibly waste the Hunter shot? But the results are unreliable because if we say "don't protect X if Y is scum" then the demons will just protect X if Y is scum. (and similarly, "protect X if Y is scum" means the demons will protect X if Y is town)

Owner's weird thing about one of Vaimes and Miner being Elder and then dropping Vaimes as soon as Vaimes offers any sort of resistance and just going after Miner makes me think Miner is less likely to be scum, too. Like... Owner knows that the theories are wrong because Owner is actually the real Coven, or something. Idk. Add that to the even more weird "Tom/dC/Vaimes" Coven theory and it's just a giant pile of wtf.

I mean, that ended up being mostly about Owner, but I guess the short version is that Owner tunneling Miner makes me feel better about Miner?
